Passions Alum McKenzie Westmore Talks Face Off, Passions, All My Children and a Possible Return to Daytime!

McKenzie Westmore is an American actress and singer well known for playing the role of Sheridan Crane Lopez-Fitzgerald on the television soap opera Passions from 1999 to 2008. She's also knowns for playing the role of Dr. Riley Sinclair on 'All My Children' from 2008 - 2009. Currently Westmore is the host of the popular reality series called "Face Off". Fans miss her dearly on daytime and Westmore would love to make a return. Soap Opera Intel [Soap Opera News] caught up with the talented beauty who talked about her time on daytime, how much she would love to return and more - read below!

 Thank you for taking the time out to do this. I am big fan of 'Passions' and still remember those crazy episodes. Your character Sheridan along with Theresa played by Lindsay Hartley was my favorites - can you tell us more about your 'Passions' experience?

McKenzie: I had a blast working on Passions! I really didn't realize the impact of the show until much later and to this day still get recognized as Sheridan. We all had so much fun on that show, so many laughs!!



When you learnt that the show was being cancelled - how was it coming to terms with it?

McKenzie: It was devastating for me! We all expected it to last 40 plus years. I thought I'd be on that show til my dying day and happily so to see it get cancelled was a heart breaker for me. I miss the cast & crew. I miss daytime as a whole.

Since then, have you kept in touch with your former co-stars and who?

McKenzie: Oh yes! I just saw Eva Tamargo [ex-Pilar] the other day in Malibu. I keep in touch here and there with Dana Sparks [ex-Grace], Richard Steinmetz [ex-Martin], Eric Martsolf [ex-Ethan, now Brady Black on Days], so many! Thank God for Facebook! lol!

And then you moved on to All My Children playing the role of Dr. Riley, a completely different character from Sheridan, what was that like?

McKenzie: Also amazing! You figure I was the sweetheart on Passions for almost 9 years so to play an evil doctor was so much fun! The only crazy thing that happened was as I was leaving the studio one day in New York City some guy started yelling at me how awful & evil I was and to leave my 
patients alone! That was a wild time!








So, have you heard AMC could be coming back as a web version since the rights to the show is back with ABC? Should the show be rebooted what would it take for you to be a part?

McKenzie: I had no idea of this but so cool!!
I would love to rejoin daytime.

 And they're also looking at bringing characters from the show to 'General Hospital' do you Dr. Riley could someday show up in Port Charles?

McKenzie: Now you're talking! lol! I'd love to join GH, Days, or Y&R! I have friends on all those shows and truly miss the fast pace of daytime!

Overall, what would it take for you to return to daytime? Do you have a character in mind you'd love to play? Fans have been suggesting that 'Days of Our Lives' hire you as a girlfriend for Rafe played by your former 'Passions' co-star Galen Gering, what are your thoughts on that?

McKenzie: It makes total sense the fans want that. They didn't get the ending they deserved between Sheridan & Luis so maybe that could be one way to give them their wish.


Great job on your reality series "Face Off". With so many successful seasons what are you hopes for the future of this show?



McKenzie: It's a fantastic show to work on with the sweetest producers & crew!! I can only hope for more!


How about getting one of your Passions co-star for a visit on the show?

McKenzie: I guess that would all depend on the challenge.

Are there any movie appearances or primetime appearances in the works for you?

McKenzie: Potentially yes. For now I'm focused on my makeup line Westmore Beauty sold on my site [www.westmorebeauty.com/] & QVC. And who knows maybe there's a tie in somewhere there of a makeup entrepreneur in the world of daytime soaps
