Fans of 'All My Children' and 'One Life to Live' never gave up hope that one day their favorite daytime sudsers would return in whatever form. And, an ABC executive is given those fans even more hope in the latest issue of the ABC Soaps in Depth magazine. Since the rights of AMC and OLTL went back to ABC, we see them bringing an OLTL character to GH in the form of Hillary B, Smith's Nora Buchanan who will first air in March.
So, what are the plans now that the rights are back with ABC? Executives from the TV nextwork are in discussions and they're hard at work in an effort of making their fans pleased. Currently, it doesn't look like any of the shows will return to television per say, but there's still hope. Nathan Varni shares with SID that “If the ABC Website expands, there might be a place for the shows". About the possibility of more characters from both defunct soap operas showing up in Port Charles, Varni says "We don’t want to do anything that doesn’t make sense, but we’re definitely looking at the fun to be had.” So, could we see those shows on the ABC website or is it possible that they could become mobile - possibly on an App? What do you think fans?
