It was such a joy for many viewers of 'The Bold and the Beautiful' when Deacon Sharpe [Sean Kanan] returned. But, that joy was short-lived as he was revealed to be the real shooter who shot after Quinn [Rena Sofer] and is now in prison.
So, what does this mean for the character? In a recent interview with Michael Logan of TV Insider. Bradley Bell the show's writer and executive producer spoke of the decision to bring Deacon back only to get rid of him so quickly. Bell highlighted that Deacon's off the canvas by saying, "this is it for Deacon in the near term" which means we won't be seeing Deacon right away but it won't be that long before we see him again. Bell further added, "Sean is a terrific actor, and I love writing for him but—for some characters—the worst thing you can do sometimes is to give them too much story. Deacon is at his best when he shows up out of nowhere. We can’t really do anything with Quinn’s attempt to kill him because there were no witnesses. It’s his word against hers, which is why he felt it was perfectly okay to shoot at her. Tit for tat."
So 'B&B' fans can note that while Deacon may have been shipped off to prison and off the canvas for a while, it is best when he pops up out of nowhere as Bell stated in the interview.
