Grant Aleksander is one talented actor whom daytime fans miss very much. Aleksander who is an Actor/Director is best known for his role as Phillip Spaulding on 'Guiding Light', a role he played on and off from 1983 - 2009. So where has Aleksander been since the cancellation of 'GL'?
In 2015, Aleksander played Dirk Winston in the play "Mary, Mary" at the Cape May Stage Theater in New Jersey. Dirk is an aging movie star who Aleksander spoke about with Soaps in Depth highlighting, "When he takes it to an old buddy from the Navy – who is now a publisher with a young fianceé, Tiffany, and a soon-to-be ex-wife, Mary – an elaborate game of romantic cat-and-mouse ensues as the four sort out who should be with whom."
He reunited with a number of his 'GL' co-stars for a project titled "Breathing Under Dirt" which is a steamy love affair based on a true story. The Lower Shore Performing Arts Company collaborated with Michael O'Leary (Rick Bauer) for the play which was done at the Ella Fitzgerald Performing Arts Center. Among those acting in the play were 'GL' alums such as; Cynthia Watros (Annie Dutton), Grant Aleksander and Tina Sloane (Lillian Raines)
Also, Aleksander played the role of Adam Clark in the web series "Tainted Dreams". In our previous interview with him, Aleksander shared that "Adam’s not a bad guy but he’s got commitment issues. The arc of his story ultimately forces him to confront them." Lastly, in the said interview he revealed that he has a couple projects in development and a book that he and his wife are editing for publication. Stay tuned for more updates on Aleksander's work.
