On screen, their alter egos maybe headed for some trouble when a man surfaces with Jason's old face, but in real-life Kelly Monaco (Sam) and Billy Miller (Jason) have something special to celebrate. They're both celebrating their 'General Hospital' anniversaries today (October 1). Fans will remember that it was on this day in history that both stars made their debuts on the ABC daytime drama.
Monaco debuted on 'GH' on October 1, 2003 when she first appears to be working with Jax (ex-Ingo Rademacher) to find the five lucky cards of the "Dead Man's hand". Jax and Sam had a brief affair before she also had an affair with Sonny (Maurice Benard). Later, Jason (then Steve Burton) and Sam became friends and bonded and became a super couple of the show. Monaco's work and talent earned her a Daytime Emmy Award nomination in 2006 in the category of Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. Today marks her 14th anniversary with 'GH'.
Miller, a 3 time Emmy Award-winning actor, on the other hand, made his debut on October 1, 2014 when he first appeared as a man without an idea of his past and was given the name John Doe later dubbed as Jake Doe. Later, there was a big reveal that he was Jason Morgan and has been playing the role ever since. Today marks his 3rd anniversary with the show and we're pretty glad to have him - aren't you?
