Yesterday, viewers of 'The Young and the Restless' would have noticed a new face as they were introduced to Dr. Hummel played by Kent Faulcon. Dr. Hummel is the ER doctor attached to Dina's (Marla Adams) case at the Hospital. While his face may be new to a number of viewers, Faulcon is no amateur to the acting business, neither is he to the soap world.
Faulcon is a well-known actor-writer-director who appears regularly in leading and supporting television and film roles. Though his career began with roles on hit primetime dramas and feature films, Faulcon has a daytime acting credit to his name. In 2011, he briefly played the role of Charles Drew on 'Days of Our Lives'.
Apart from that, Faulcon's face may be very familiar to fans of "Being Mary Jane", "For Better or Worse" and more. Faulcon played the role of Richard Ellington on "For Better or Worse" from 2011 - 2016. He also played the role of Vladamir Frederick on "Being Mary Jane" earlier this year.
His list of acting credits also includes roles such as; Principal Green on "Black-ish", FBI Agent Mark Williams on "NCIS: Los Angeles", Chris on "The Exes", Officer Ramsey on "Desperate Housewives", Michael King on "Soul Food", Det. Fuller on "Criminal Minds", Gil Corso on "Charmed", Randall Dixon on "NYPD Blue" and much more.
