What would Adam Newman be doing now? That's a question several viewers have been asking themselves since Justin Hartley vacated the role on 'The Young and the Restless' in 2016. Since leaving the show, Hartley has found major success and has become a popular primetime star on one of the world's most loved primetime series, "This Is Us" on NBC, a network Hartley previously worked on when he played the role of Fox Crane on "Passions". This was the same place he met and married his first wife, Lindsay Hartley.
Hartley would've almost missed his current success had he went with how he was feeling at the time. In a recent chat with Alan Pergament on a flight, Hartley talked about his career and revealed that he almost gave up his audition for the role of Kevin on the NBC primetime drama. In Pergament's interview it states, "He was a regular on the soap opera "The Young and the Restless" and initially balked at considering "This Is Us" before being convinced to try out for Kevin because he liked the part and shooting in Los Angeles would enable him to be there for his teenage daughter from his first marriage [to Lindsay Hartley]." Despite how sad we are that he left 'Y&R', Hartley did make the right decision career-wise and we wish to congratulate him on his grand success.
