Avery Bailey Clark played by Jessica Collins was one of Genoa City's power attorneys on 'The Young and the Restless'. Her exit which occurred back in 2015 was one of the saddest and Avery remains one of the most missed characters on the show currently. Fans would remember that Collins joined the cast of CBS daytime drama back in 2011 when Avery stepped on the scene as a high-class attorney on July 27, 2011.
Avery was first hired by Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and she later turned out to be the estranged sister of Phyllis Summers (Gina Tognoni). Her storylines predominantly included legal work, her feuding with her sister, her romantic pairings with guys such as; Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Dylan McAvoy (ex-Steve Burton) and her obsessive ex-husband Joe Clark (ex-Scott Elrod). Sadly, Collins exited the show on July 21, 2015.
Her absence from the show has allowed her to spend more time with her family. Collins is currently married to writer and producer, Michael Cooney with whom she shares one child. She gave birth to a daughter, Jemma on January 23, 2016, and if you look closely at the date you'd realize Jemma turns 2 today. Happy birthday Jemma!
Collins' time on 'Y&R' was a very successful one as she was widely popular amongst viewers and also earned great recognition as she received a Daytime Emmy Award Nomination in 2013 and a Daytime Emmy Award win in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 2016. So, do fans want to see Avery back on the canvas? Should Jessica Collins return to the show?
