As Kelly Monaco gears up to mark her 15th anniversary as General Hospital's Sam McCall (Cain) this October, she could also be in to mark a special accomplishment. Monaco who joined the cast of 'GH' shortly after the cancellation of 'Port Charles' and the end of her run as Livvie Locke may receive her first nomination in over a decade. Yes, it has been over a decade since the last time Monaco was nominated. In 2003 Monaco was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series and 2006 for Outstanding Lead Actress, will this year bring any change?
After a year of one outstanding performance after another, things are looking pretty good for the talented actress. According to an article from Gold Derby, the actress' chances for a nomination and even a win look extremely good. Monaco competes against actresses from 'Days of Our Lives', 'The Young and the Restless' and other cast mates from 'General Hospital' who have all won an Emmy before. With the official nomination list set to be released on March 21st, Monaco's chances of being nominated 11 years after receiving her last nomination are looking better by the minute. Could Monaco be in for the win at this year's Daytime Emmy Awards?
