Congratulations on landing the role of Detective Sanchez on B&B. What has it been like so far being a part of the cast?
Jeremy: So far I have really enjoyed the experience. Everyone has welcomed me and made me feel right at home. Being the new guy on set can sometimes feel like being the new kid at school, but not with this cast. I feel like they have all gone out of their way to make sure I'm getting the most out of the experience.
Is it possible we could see Detective Sanchez around for the long-haul?
Jeremy: I sure hope so. As long as they write for me, I plan on hanging around.
Can you share a little bit about your background? Where did you grow up? Do you have siblings? Family?
Jeremy: I was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I grew up and went to high school in Tempe AZ where I attended Marcos De Niza High School. After I graduated, I went to and graduated from The University of Arizona in Tucson. All of my family lives in New Mexico.
Congratulations on the birth of your son. What is it like being a dad and what has been your most challenging experience so far as a new dad?
Jeremy: We are so excited about our little boy, Griffin! He makes us very happy and has definitely impacted my life for the better. I feel like, right now, I am learning way more from him than he is from me. The biggest challenge so far has been dealing with the lack of sleep. My wife and I feel like zombies sometimes. I would die for a full eight hours of sleep.
After having one, do you and your wife plan on having more kids?
Jeremy: Nope! This is it. One and done. We got what we wanted, a beautiful healthy child. Plus, he has tons of cousins to pal around with.
You have a long list of acting credits which include mainly primetime serials. Are there any primetime appearances on the horizon for you?
Jeremy: At this point, I am focusing on The Bold and the Beautiful. However, I am always auditioning. I am also a photographer and I write and produce, so I always have a pretty full plate.
What about movie roles? Do you have any more of those in the pipeline?
Jeremy: I am currently writing a Movie with my writing partner, Director and Writer Tony Gapastione. It's a comedy called, Spinners. You're going to love it. Trust me!
Can you fill us in on your boxing experience?
Jeremy: I am and I have always been a workout fanatic. I've been boxing for about 19 years. It keeps me in good shape and young. However, it is just a small part of how I like to train. I also love to mountain bike, swim and play racquetball. But, for the past couple of years, my wife and I have really been in to a workout called Orange Theory Fitness. My cousin Steve introduced me to it and Coach Phil and Coach Eric make sure that I'm a sweaty mess at the end of each training session.
Is there anything else that you would like to share with your B&B fans?
Jeremy: I'd really like to thank ALL of the B&B fans for being so supportive and welcoming. They have really shown me love on social media. My Instagram is @jeremyrayvaldez and so is my Twitter.
So, fans would you like to see him stick around on 'B&B'? What sort of storylines are you hoping are ahead for him?
