Daniel Lissing Wraps When Calls the Heart Run - Here's What's Next for Him!
Daniel Lissing has been playing the lead role of Jack Thornton on "When Calls the Heart" since 2014. Unfortunately for his fans and a number of viewers of the hit Hallmark series, his time on the show has come to an end as his character's ugly fate was revealed in the season 5 finale. Jack died while saving a few of his men. It was indeed sad to learn that Jack died but one good thing came in the finale, a baby Thornton is on the way and season 6 will be great. So now that Lissing has wrapped his time on the show, what's next for him?
In an interview with Parade, Lissing revealed that a feature length of the 2015 short "The Answers" which he starred in as Nathan is being worked on. When asked about the progress of things he shared, "It is happening. Writing a script is hard, I’ve discovered. This particular project and what we’re trying to do is unique. When you’re writing something that is truly original it takes time. I won’t say we’re perfectionists, but we’re close to and so we want to do it right. So we’re taking our time to make sure it’s right."
He also spoke in regards to hopes of reuniting with his 'WCTH' onscreen partner, Erin Krakow (Elizabeth) for a Hallmark movie. "I actually put this forward to Hallmark about 18 months ago. I think they just want to get the timing right for that. I really believe if Erin and I did any film together for Hallmark it would be awesome. It would be so much fun to play different characters with each other. I think the fans would love to see that," he shared.
So, hearties will you miss Jack? Will you follow Lissing on his next adventures?
