Congrats on an amazing career. You've played Detective Chavez on Y&R and Diego on GH - can you share what your experiences were like being a part of a daytime soap opera filled with so many fantastic stars?
Ignacio: It was an incredible experience and a perfect transition from theater to television. I had great teachers like Ted King, Mark Teschner, Jill Phelps and many others who taught me the ins and outs and made me feel right at home.
Both shows recently celebrated major milestones. Y&R celebrated over 40 years while GH celebrated over 50. Would you ever consider a return to any of these shows and what would it take to get you back there?
Ignacio: Absolutely, if they’ll have me, I would go back in a second.
You're also a big name primetime star, what has been like working in the primetime genre?
Ignacio: It’s been great and very rewarding being able to jump from set to set meeting new people and playing different characters.
Can you share with us your experience working on Lost in Space and your role as Don West?
Ignacio: It was life-changing, both in my career and my personal life. Going to Vancouver and getting the opportunity to work with such wonderful people including cast and crew was truly a blessing. I met people who will be a part of my life forever no matter the outcome of our show.
What are your hopes for the future of the show?
Ignacio: That it continues for as long as the audience will have us.
Do you have any primetime roles/movie roles on the horizon?
Ignacio: I worked on a project after Lost In Space which will come out soon but I can’t talk much about it yet.
What keeps you busy outside of acting?
Ignacio: Surfing, Futbol, rock climbing, scuba diving, backpacking around the world, producing and writing some projects of my own and also bringing awareness to end the stigma of mental health.
Do you a message you would like to share with your fans?
Ignacio: You motivate me and fuel me to be a better artist. Thanks for coming along for the ride.
