Should Greg Rikaart bring Kevin Fisher back to Genoa City full time? Click here to read---->>>
Is there room for one more on the canvas? Greg Rikaart has been the only Kevin Fisher viewers of The Young and the Restless knew for 14 years until the show opted not to renew a contract with the actor. Of course, this was some bad news for the many of us who grew to love him for his computer hacking abilities, "evil bad guy" ways and his transformation into a "good person".
Kevin Fisher first came on the scene on July 11, 2003. He was created by former head writers; Kay Alden and John F. Smith. Initially, he was only suppose to be on the show short-term. But as aforementioned, the character's popularity resulted into a much longer stay, as he was placed on contract and remained with the show for an unbreakable 14 year service.
Kevin was introduced as an internet predator performing several criminal activities where computers and internet were concerned. He later became a "good person" as he stayed slighlty away from such criminal activities, except when called upon. He was known for his relationships with characters such as; Jana Hawkes (ex-Emily O'Brien), Angelina Veneziano (ex-Diana DeGarmo), Natalie Soderberg (ex-Mara McCaffray), Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), Chloe Mitchell (ex-Elizabeth Hendrickson) and more.
Of course, with such an actor on the canvas he would earn grand recognition for his outstanding portrayal. He earned 5 Daytime Emmy Award nominations out of which he won the award for Oustanding Supporting Actor in a drama series in 2005.
With that being said, no show would refuse having Rikaart as a member of their cast. He is asset to say the least. Hence Days of Our Lives hired him for the role of Leo Stark. Sadly, the character was short-lived but we hear he'll soon be back. No word on if that's permanent.
Genoa City no doubt needs a little Kevin or should we say much Kevin. His spark, his slightly snarky comments, computer hacking skills, ability to make viewers laugh and more is needed. Can you imagine how much help he would have been to the four musketeers (Sharon, Phyllis, Nikki and Victoria) in their quest to identify their blackmailer. We say it's time to bring Kevin home. So, fans do you agree? Do you think Rikaart should return to Y&R and return on contract? Or should he land a contract at Days of Our Lives? Either way we'd just be happy to have talent on our screen.
