Chrishell Hartley is bringing back Jordan Ridgeway on Days of Our Lives very soon. In the meantime, here's a run down on her past---->>>
Days' character returns have made our Throwback column choices the past two weeks easy breezy. A refresher course on Diana Colville Cooper last week. This week Jordan Ridgeway.
Jordan Ridgeway, birth name Tammy Sue, came to town in her scrubs, ponytail and glasses in 2013. Days' make-up department had to work overtime to try and present Jordan as a "plain Jane" because as anyone can see Chrishell Stause Hartley is gorgeous. Somewhat timid, prefer to stay in the background, reserved, cautious, sweet, secretive, Jordan. She came to town to help rehabilitate Rafe Hernandez (she was a physical therapist) after he was beaten up then almost castrated by Stefano's henchman.
Little did Jordan know but as soon as Kate Roberts laid eyes on her, she had her "eyes on her." Kate thought Jordan would be a man. She didn't want a woman sniffing around "her Rafe". Kate was caught slipping because usually, she's not one to let something like that fall through the cracks. But Kate looked at Jordan's ponytail, glasses and demeanor and thought she had nothing to worry about. Never ever judge a book by its cover.
Jordan started working with Rafe and an attraction beyond rehabbing developed between the two. Jordan tried to keep Rafe at a distance insisting it wasn't professional to do otherwise. But it was clear that Jordan had a secret and a box filled with fake ID's proved she might have had other reasons to keep Rafe at arm's length. But who was Jordan Ridgeway? What was she hiding? We continued to wonder.
Rafe had real feelings for Jordan and wasn't going to let her be his therapist stand in the way. He fired Jordan and hired a new therapist. Jordan determined not "to run this time" opened up her heart and life to Rafe. Jafe started dating.
If we wondered who was Jordan Ridgeway, you know it was driving Kate that so many questions were unanswered about the woman who had replaced her in Rafe's heart and bed. We know Kate. She was going to find out. When bringing an old friend of Jordan's to town didn't bear the fruit she wanted, Kate's continued inquisition led her all the way to Poplar Bluff, MO and Jordan's stepdad Clyde Weston. Kate's eyes were so green with envy about Jordan she couldn't see what the audience saw (or maybe she did because we are talking about Kate). We saw immediately Clyde was bad news.
To be honest, Clyde didn't give a flying fig about Jordan. He only wanted her to lead him to Jordan's brother, Ben Weston, his son (who was on screen by the time Kate showed up in Poplar Bluff). Ben was the only person Clyde ever really cared about. Clyde would be on his way to "his boy."
Jordan's past and story unfolded. Ben, "Ollie", Jordan and their mom were physically and emotionally abused at the hands of Clyde Weston. And Clyde raped Jordan when she was 15 years old. This horrific living situation became untenable after their mom died. Jordan wanted a better life for herself and would never leave her brother behind. Clyde threatened to kill Jordan if she ever tried to take Ben away. Jordan was courageous and moved past all of her fears, stole Clyde's money and took Ben (who was a minor). They ran away, assumed new identities and started the process over and over to stay one step ahead of Clyde. They did....until Kate.
Kate wasn't done. She also slept with Rafe when he was with Jordan. Now that wasn't all Kate's fault. She didn't drug him or anything like that. Rafe did so willingly. Yes, he was upset about Gabi going to jail for killing Nick Fallon and was drunk. But that is never a good excuse. Of course, Jordan found out and Jafe split.
Rafe sleeping with Kate was enough to deal with. But Jordan also had to deal with Clyde trying to worm his way back into Ben's life. Jordan's animosity toward Clyde never wavered. But Ben's did. He started to thaw towards Clyde. Jordan implored Ben not to forget who Clyde was or what he had done to them.
Clyde threatened Jordan again. That time he threatened to tell Ben the truth of how Jordan "murdered" their mother. Murdered was a strong word. We learned that Jordan drove her mother to the doctor, lost control of the car and it crashed. Jordan didn't believe she had murdered her mother. But she was worried Ben might hold the accident against her. So, she didn't stand in the way of Clyde reconnecting with Ben. One night Jordan went so far as to hold Clyde at gunpoint but it wasn't in her to pull the trigger.
Jordan became involved with Chad DiMera despite the warnings from Rafe and Abigail that Chad wasn't to be trusted. Chad was angry when he discovered Rafe was investigating him for possible criminal activity. Chad did "a DiMera" and dropped a note to the Salem PD that Rafe had previously hidden Gabi's crimes. Rafe was fired. Chad lied to Jordan that he wasn't behind Rafe getting fired. Chad lying imagine that lol. When Jordan found out Chad and Jordan split.
It wasn't long after that Jordan got a job offer in New York and left Salem.
In the Days' spoilers, Jordan has a gun and she's kidnapped Ciara and Charlotte! So, it's pretty safe to say we ain't getting no somewhat timid, prefer to stay in the background, reserved, cautious, sweet, Jordan. Plus, we know Rom and 'em don't do timid, reserved, etc. lol. We don't think it will be our same "lil Jordan" that returns.
It's gonna be crazy! Buckle up!
Welcome back Jordan/Chrishell!
