The Daytime Emmy Awards are just around the corner. But, just before that big moment on May 5, we are predicting the winners. Starting with the category of Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series, see who we think will win below!
Greg Rikaart - Leo Stark, Days of Our Lives
For the 8th time, Greg is nominated for a Daytime Emmy award. This time for his work as Leo Stark on Days. He was nominated in the category of Oustanding Supporting Actor in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2018 for his work as Kevin Fisher on The Young and the Restless. He won the award in 2005. He also received a nomination for New Approaches - Daytime Entertainment - Imaginary Bitches in 2008. This is his 6th time being nominated in this category and if he wins, it will be his second time winning.
Bryton James - Devon Hamilton, The Young and the Restless
Bryton is another strong contender in this category. With this nomination, Bryton earns his 7th Daytime Emmy nomination. He was nominated in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2013. He won the award in 2007. Bryton was nominated in the category of Oustanding Supporting Actor in 2018 and now 2019. After such amazing work dealing with the onscreen death of his wife and unborn child, Bryton is our runner-up in this category.
Max Gail - Mike Corbin, General Hospital
Many would say that this year's Emmy for this category rightfully belongs to Max after such hard work with the Alzheimer's storyline throughout the year. And, we can agree. Max's performance was gutwrenching and on point. He brought us to tears countless times, hence he is our predicted winner for this Emmy award. This is Max's first time being nominated for a Daytime Emmy.
Eric Martsolf - Brady Black, Days of Our Lives
Eric is nominated in this category for the second time. When he was first nominated in 2014, he won the award. Given his work on the NBC daytime drama last year, it's highly possible he could win his second Emmy award.
Dominic Zamprogna - Dante Falconeri, General Hopsital
Dominic receives his 3rd nomination in this category and 3rd nomination overall. He's been nominated in 2014, 2016, 2019. He's been a hardworking actor over the years and is truly deserving of an Emmy for his work. Could this year be his first win?
