Sami Brady is on her way back to Salem as Alison Sweeney returns to Days of Our Lives. Sweeney is always open to returning to the show she called her home for decades but this return was an extremely special one as she was called back to be a part of a special tribute dedicated to Peggy McCay (Caroline Brady) who died late last year.'
In regards to this, Sweeney told SOD, "I think Ron did beautiful work, especially since he didn't write the show back then. He really did a beautiful job of honoring the character' history and all of our relationships with her. When he asked me to come back and that Caroline's death would be tied into Will's dream, I started to cry on the phone with him. I was like, 'That's amazing. That's so special. Thank you so much for doing that. Of course I want to be there. That's incredible.'"
Sweeney went on to say, "I think of what an incredible career she's had and what a successful actress she had been over her lifetime." She also included, "I remember some meaningful scenes that we did together and how amazing she was as an actress and to wor opposite. She always brought her professionalism and her attention to detail. I remember all of those really wonderful good things that I learned from working with her. And I think about how after I left the show, she called me and said, 'Hey, if you're ever looking for a grandma on your other shows, keep me in mind!'"
Sami Brady comes back for her ailing son and will be back in Salem just in time to celebrate the life of Caroline Brady.
