Passions and All My Children alum, McKenzie Westmore has joined a new Star Trek series.
Star Trek fans are in for a real treat. An upcoming new series called Star Trek: Picard is headed to TV. It is a sequel to The Next Generation, the series which features Patrick Stewart reprising his iconic role as Jean-Luc Picard, which he played for seven seasons on “Star Trek: Next Generation.” The cast also includes stars such as; Santiago Cabrera, Michelle Hurd, Alison Pill, Harry Treadaway, Isa Briones, and Evan Evagor.
So far the plot is being kept under wraps. But we do it centers Captain Jean-Luc Picard in the next chapter of his life. Hanelle M. Culpepper, Jonathan Frakes and Maja Vrvilo are listed as Directors while Michael Chabon, Alex Kurtzman and Gene Roddenberry are listed as writers.
The series is to be set 20 years after the events of Star Trek: Nemesis (which was set in the year 2379), in the year 2399. Using the TNG-based Stardate format, this would place the start of the series just after Stardate 76000.
Westmore will play Rhomshew in episode 2. She is known for her roles as Sheridan Crane on Passions and Dr. Riley Sinclair on AMC as well as her work on Face Off. Check out the video below and stay tuned for updates.
