In L.A. rinse, wash, repeat. In Genoa City, we have another murder mystery. In Port Charles, we are praying for a murder mystery. In Salem, NotNicole found out there was no murder.

The Bold and the Beautiful
A drugged Liam who wanted to dance, to laugh and to be happy sent Hope all into a tizzy because she was trying to be normal and Liam was acting crazy and him being happy showed Hope that he didn't miss Beth anymore i.e. she was still hurting and he wasn't. Don't ask us how because we have absolutely no idea. And at this get together out of nowhere Hope called Phoebe Beth. We have no idea where this came from either. Thomas was all too happy to give his commentary from the sidelines about how happy Liam was to be with Steffy and the girls. Liam was for sure happy later when he and Steffy hit the sheets. The next day Liam felt compelled to tell Hope he slept with Steffy. And during the same conversation, it sounded like he was asking Hope again to get back together. Okay, final time promise, we have no idea how this all gels together. Hope told Liam, "Don't feel bad. It was me who pushed you into Steffy's bed. I'm a big girl. I can handle it. Go be with Steffy and the girls." Liam, "I'll go but please please please don't move on with Thomas anybody but Thomas." Thomas, Brooke, Ridge everybody found out Steam had sex. Psycho Thomas coerced Douglas and coached him on how to propose to Hope to be his new mommy, ring and all. It so happened to be the same date as last year when Hope told Liam she was pregnant with Beth.
While Brooke and Liam were having their millionth conversation that psycho Thomas was psycho, off, unstable, untrustworthy, etc, Douglas came in telling them the good news that he had proposed to Hope to be his new mommy. Thomas was over in the cabin telling Hope he had no hand in Douglas offering "his hand". But hey since he did, say yes. Take this ring, be my wife and make me the happiest woman in the world. Hope, sis, just look at him he's psycho! Run! Run!. Finally, somebody, Xander, actually was doing something about Thomas instead of just talking like Liam and Brooke. Point taken that Xander knows much more than Brooke and Liam but still, we are tired of them talking but not doing anything. Anyway, Xander told Charlie a lie that his car was broken into and he needed to check the security footage. He saw Thomas high tailing it out of Forrester in his car behind Emma's car like the cops after a criminal. Xander; "He's a murderer."
The Young and the Restless
Phyllis figured out it was Kevin who kidnapped her. Adam filled her in, sort of as to why. He was true to his word and kept the fact that Chloe is alive from Phyllis. He told Phyllis that Kevin was now at her disposable like Kevin is at his. Lola is old enough to know you can fool some of the people some of the time but you can't fool your momma none of the time. Momma Celeste let Kola lie and lie and lie and the whole time she knew Kyle and Lola are shacking up. She had fun watching them sweat. Now Momma Rosales would like sweat, from another type of workout, with her soon to be in-law Jack Abbott! Yes, Celeste! Devon not happy with Ana's release of Tessa's new video without his knowledge as promised put someone over Ana, Theo. Ana/Theo/Summer triangle?
Y&R had a fun and lively fair set and throughout the week of the 4th residents in GC visited. Nice touch. Chadam reunited! Then they weren't. Chelsea asked, almost begged Adam to let her and Connor go. She made it through losing him. She was on the other side. She was happy. Connor was happy. Calvin, new hubby, was happy. Let us go. Um, Chelsea, you know that ain't happening. You know we tell it like it is. This past week, the writers would have had us to believe that "Chick" was some great love affair. They were not. Moving on. Hold on it goes quickly from here. Calvin, new hubby, dropped in and surprised Chelsea. It was an awkward meeting with them and Nick. We weren't sure what to make of it. Then Calvin showed up at Adam's place. We didn't see what happened. Calvin then told Chelsea Adam should have Connor and they could start their own family. A commercial then Calvin was dead. We aren't sure where this is all headed and even less sure we wanted another murder mystery so soon, but we are here. So what you got Y&R?
General Hospital
Sam reverted back to her con days and set out to Beecher's Corners to try and get day player, Carol to talk. The bad cop from Beecher's Corners showed up in PC to get new Commish Scorpio to arrest Jason and Michael. Chase lied for Michael and became his alibi. Robert is the new DA. The Scorpio brothers are riding again. Very good GH. Alexis announced in a session that she knew Neil had lost his daughter. Neil tired of Alexis crossing the line between therapist and patient cut her treatment off but still agreed to have a session with Kristina and Alexis about the pledge. Kristina told Shiloh that Alexis had run over an injured Kiefer on purpose. But Kristina didn't know diddley because Kristina was unconscious the entire time in the car. After all the hype over the pledge, it was all a big lie that Kristina told Shiloh to try and impress him.
Shiloh was working Brad big time to try and find out if Wiley is indeed his son. Curtis found something on Jax. Sonny was paying big bucks to solidify Dev as his play cousin so he can stay in the country. Stella took a DNA test. Where is that going? Scotter Scotty gave Bobbie a "pity worn like an old shoe proposal." Bobbie, of course, said no! They are going to Friz's wedding reception instead. Cam and Laura had the best scenes about his feelings toward Franco and about Cam being the oldest and setting a good example for his younger brothers. Harmony finding out that it was Shiloh who killed her husband was what she needed to start talking. Please please please just end Shiloh already.
Days of Our Lives
Carrie and Austin are separated. She came home for Grandma Caroline's Homegoing and bedded Rafe. We got nothing on this one. Eric (who had barged in on Rafe and Carrie in bed previously) tried to cover when Hope saw Rafe coming from upstairs at the Pub. But Hope is a cop. She figured it out and gave Rafe his ring back. Eve confronted Jack about thinking about trying to get his memory back. She told Jack she is worried about the effects of the drugs after what happened with Will which we are sure is true. But she is scared Jack gonna go up the hill with Jennifer when he gets his memories back. LOL. Eve needs to be worried that Jarlena knows instead of getting Claire help she was using her to get to Ben. Elani is engaged! Congrats STANS! Now, they need a story, a place, and a baby, please and thank you.
Hope saw Sarah's necklace and started investigating. She correctly surmised that Xander is up to his elbows in Ted's disappearance. She was getting warm as to why Xander had Holly's autopsy report. Brady and Rex at the same time started to piece together that something amiss was up with Kate. If y'all three could just meet up, you can figure it out! Ted and Kate got close in the DiMera tunnels. NotNicole walked in on them kissing. Oh boy. Gabi vs NotNicole is so much fun! That Basic Black/Gabi Chic relaunch should be interesting. If only Days had a budget to actually produce it on screen. SIGH.
Marlena and Ben found an unconscious Tripp on the floor of the loft and Ciara gone. Tripp got knocked out and Claire had Ciara! Tripp headed to the hospital for the head injury sustained when he tried to pull away from Claire when she had a knife to his throat. Ben, Marlena, and Hope (Marlena called her) all correctly guessed Claire was taking Ciara back to the scene of the crime. A glazed over Claire stood with a knife and lighter in hand ready to fry a tied up begging and desperate Ciara. When Ben, Marlena, and Hope got to the cabin Hope talked an irate, "crazed" shaky Claire down. Next, Marlena had to talk down a distraught and suicidal Claire. Shawn and Belle had to find out that their baby girl....sigh. No worries Shelle it will be okay this Salem everybody is and/or turns crazy at some point.
Performers of the Week!
We had been waiting for the culmination of the cabin fire storyline and it did not disappoint!
Performer of the Week is Olivia Rose Keegan! (Claire, Days of Our Lives) What can we say that we haven't been saying for months? Olivia is a star! Claire told Ciara how she had the very best intentions to save her at the cabin and be the hero. But then just looking at her sleeping she thought save her? Nah, let's kill her! So, she started the fire. But she did come back. That counts for something, doesn't it? LOL. Olivia brilliantly peeled back Claire's state of mind. Smug Ciara took everything from her (Theo, Bella contest). Ciara had everything. She had nothing. She ranted and raved about all the reasons Ciara had to die. There was so much to love about those scenes. Our favorites were Claire screaming at Ciara to, "Shut Up!" And when she told Ciara, "My life is over and if I'm going down I'm for sure taking you with me...I have to make this pain go away. I have to make you go away." Bone-chilling good. Crazed, homicidal, suicidal, enraged, despondent, demoralized, inconsolable, Olivia gave it to us. She put on a clinic; eyes, expressions, gestures, inflection. Olivia, we need new words but just an outstanding performance!
Our Honorable Mention of the Week is Victoria Konefal! (Ciara, Days of Our Lives). Ciara was all kinds of resilient this past week! She escaped the jaws of death again. Her niece, like a sister Claire, had her tied up in that gasoline-laden cabin for her to meet her soap maker. Ciara begged and pleaded for her life and when that didn't work she tried a little psychology. Then that didn't work so she went back to begging and pleading. And did you catch Ciara's stance when leaving the cabin after being rescued? She looked ready to fight! She comforted her brother, Shawn. And then busted Eve wide open for her part in all that had transpired. She gave us desperate, panicked, frantic, righteous anger, resourceful, resilient and sympathetic. And in those cabin scenes, Victoria emoted the range of Ciara's emotions so well. She was fantastic! Victoria, you were so good!
As a soap fan, Olivia and Victoria gave us everything we wanted and more! Well done, ladies!
