Jack finally gets his memory back on Days of Our Lives! Read more here --->
The moment that JnJ fans have been waiting months for is finally happening!!
Our dear Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) has been kidnapped by the all-of-a-sudden manic Dr. Shah (Piter Marek), and Jack (Matthew Ashford) along with JJ (Casey Moss) have been desperately searching for her.
Ashford told Soap Opera Digest in the latest edition that “there’s a lot of frustration on Jack’s part.” He’s struggling with the fact that they nor the cops have found Jennifer yet. “He certainly has feelings for her, even though he doesn’t quite know what they are. He doesn’t want her to be in any kind of danger. She’s the mother of his children.”
Shah makes a call to Jack telling him where to go and to come alone. Jack leaves JJ behind and finds Jennifer being held at knifepoint by the good doctor. Jenn’s failed attempts at being sympathetic to her kidnapper have led to him being enraged and willing to do anything...including killing Jennifer.
“Jennifer’s so intense,” notes the actor. “Jack’s locking eyes with her, and the whole thing infuriates Shah. He sees they’re still connected. It’s like, how dare you try to connect? Shah starts pointing the knife at Jack to make his point and takes it away from Jennifer’s neck.
That’s when Jack makes his move. He tries to jump on him and do something.”
A struggle ensues with Shah getting the upper hand and ends with him throwing Jack against the wall. “Jack’s lying on the floor, bleeding from the back of his head, but suddenly it all comes back to him. Everything comes rushing back. He realizes who this person is in front of him, that Jennifer is his everything.” The emotional moment soon ends as Shah comes back at them with the knife. The two men struggle again and the fight ends with Shah getting stabbed...to death.
After their ordeal, Jack and Jennifer reunite with a kiss. “This is before any realization of who he’s been and what he’s done because Jack doesn’t forget who he has been. But at this moment he’s just happy to be alive, happy to be alive with Jennifer, and to know who she is.”
Ashford notes that there are still some hurdles the two will have to get over. “This is a turning point for the couple. They’re on the road to refinding each other, but he has to come to terms with who he has been. Jack comes to know that she is there for him. She has been and she is. It’s very challenging, what’s coming up.”
