The Young and the Restless

Rey came face to face with his father, and let Lola in on the fact that Kyle gave Adrian money. Theo takes the opportunity to chat with Papa Rosales to get some info on Lola. And I can honestly say the Lola/Theo and Kyle/Summer dynamic we have going is certainly interesting. Abby, on the other hand, is not so happy with Theo’s newfound friendship with Lola. She warns him not to mess with their relationship. Mariah is killing it at her job with her getting a hot new client. Phyllis is spying on the Grand Phoenix. Elena gets a call letting her know lesions were found on Jett’s vocal cords that could be cancerous and she flies out to be with him. And Billy and Kyle continue to go head to head at Jabot. 

Jack and Traci’s visit with Dina turns sour when the topic of Stuart Brooks is brought up. Things with Connor get worse when he falls victim to the Newman ideal of being invincible and jumps off the playground equipment, breaking his arm in the process. Nick locates Adam and is able to convince him to come home for his son. Adam tries to make Connor believe that he won’t leave him again, but little Adam Jr. has a plan of his own. He wants to live with Adam. Chelsea, who is willing to do anything to help her son reluctantly agrees. However, Nick is not so happy about the new arrangement. Adam’s new roommate means he has to kick Phyllis out of the apartment, but the two share a surprisingly sweet moment in their friendship. Wanting to help his son Adam asks Sharon to continue her sessions with him. Sharon is hesitant to work in his orbit again, but after some encouragement from Rey she agrees. I’m not so sure that this will be the best thing for our girl, Sharon. Especially, for her relationship with Rey! 

Cane made his way back to Genoa City with the original copy of Katherine’s will in hand. Jill hires an expert to test the legitimacy of the paperwork, and they confirm that those are, in fact, the true final wishes of Katherine. She gave Cane the money! Jill bites the bullet and calls Devon with the news. Devon struggles with the news. The gift of the money changed his life not just financially, but with his sense of purpose as well. So, learning that the money wasn’t meant for him is a blow. Everyone he talks to including Amanda and Lily tells him to go with his heart. He calls a meeting and lets everyone know that he is doing what Neil would want him to do. HE IS GIVING CANE THE MONEY!!! What?! But just when we think the money drama is over with we get some shocking news via Jill. She was looking at the letter Chance had sent with the original will and there are some clues that lead her to believe that Colin may be the one behind this mess! 

The Bold and the Beautiful 

Hope and Liam discuss what went down with Steffy. Liam asks why should we hurt her more than she has already been. Steffy is back at work with Ridge, who continues to try and fix the broken bond between her and Thomas. Donna and Eric spend some time together at work. Can we please make that a thing again?! Wyatt gets a visit from Bill while babysitting Kelly. Bill was sent by Quinn to talk to him about his engagement with Sally and his feelings for Flo. Zoe and Thomas bond and Zoe agrees to move in. Thomas gets word that Brooke has had an attorney draw up adoption papers for Douglas. Brooke tells Hope and Liam that this will be the best thing for Douglas, and Hope is all for it. Liam, though, is not so sure that this is the right route. Thomas confronts the group about trying to steal his son from him. Hope pulls out her best Logan tactics and pleads with him. “I see it. I want it. It’s mine,” as Thomas said regarding the Logans. Stephanie would be proud! Thomas starts to believe this might be the best thing but asks to think about it. He goes to Ridge who is shocked to learn that it was his wife that put this plan into motion. Ridge storms over to the house to tell them the adoption is not happening and that Douglas is going home with Thomas. An argument ensues that leads to Ridge calling Hope and Brooke out and Brooke taking off her wedding rings.  

Days of Our Lives

Brady asks Kristen for a paternity test to which she agrees. They go to Kayla who runs the test, but while at the hospital Kristen has some pains and cramping. She was worried about the baby, but Kayla was able to assure her that everything was fine. The pair took their ultrasound picture back to the Kiriakis mansion to show to Victor. Brady got the confirmation call that he is in fact the father of Kristen’s baby. But that still doesn’t mean that he wants a relationship with her...that hasn’t stopped Kristen from doing anything she can to get close to him though. Eric walked in on Nicole talking to Xander and assumed that he was trying to blackmail her again. Eric made a comment that he never wants any secrets between them. So, Nicole lies and tells him that Xander wanted her to put in a good word for him. 

Maggie is trying to figure out why Sarah wants to leave town, and Sarah tells her that seeing Eric and Nicole was too much for her. Their conversation is interrupted when Dr. Rolf comes in looking for Xander, who has offered him a lab at Titan. When Xander returns later he makes his case for having Rolf working under the Titan name, but Maggie is not sold on the idea. Xander also tells Sarah he will miss her and that he will keep an eye out for her mother when she leaves, but he also wants to be her date to Eli and Lani’s wedding. Dr. Rolf goes back to the hospital to retrieve his missing flash drive and is informed by Kayla that Jennifer had found it. When he confronts Jennifer she lies and says that she lost it, wanting to snoop through his files and make sure he couldn’t conduct his experiments on anyone else. 

Jack tells Jennifer that he is officially resigning from Mayor and wants to make amends for all of the horrible things that he did, including apologizing to Haley and JJ. Eve throws a temo=porary wrench in JnJ’s plans when she says she will fight the divorce. Jack convinces her - by threatening her with obstruction of justice charges - to sign the papers. To celebrate the two plan a night out, which is hijacked by Adrienne and Justin. LOL.  It was lovely getting to see the four of them together again! After dinner, Jack and Jennifer went off to spend the night together and Justin proposed to Adrienne (she said yes)! What a night! The next morning Jennifer wakes up minus Jack, but he soon returns with breakfast and a proposal of his own! Watching Jen snacking on her blueberry scone while Jack poured his heart out was fantastic! Jennifer, of course, says yes! 

Jordan is preparing for baby David’s birthday by mixing up some cupcakes, and one very special poison-laced one for Ciara. Things almost turned disastrous when Ari gives the cupcake to David. Luckily, Jordan gets to him in time before he could eat it! The rest of the party goes well with Ben bringing David a toybox he engraved with his name. Ciara begins feeling bad after eating her cupcake and Ben takes her home. Jordan was ecstatic her plan was going so well until Rafe collapsed right in front of her. Uh oh! Eli and Lani are finalizing their plans for the wedding which makes Gabi upset. If she can’t be happy and in love. Lani can’t either! Some of the town’s people gathered for Stefan’s funeral. Gabi was visited by Stefan’s spirit who wanted to know what her plan was, and she vowed to get justice for his death. She informs Lani that she has an app thanks to a company that Stefan had acquired that allows her to control Julie’s new pacemaker. And that if she didn’t leave Eli at the alter she will destroy Julie’s heart. Hope continued to act strange, concerning her loved ones by her actions. She went to the pub and ordered champaign only to spit it out in front of Roman because it was awful!! Hope also made this fan very happy when she took Stefano’s stolen portrait to its new home. THE LOFT!!! The cliffhanger for the week was Hope collapsing next to a newly positioned throne and waking up as Princess Gina!

General Hospital

Felicia comes to Robert with her concerns for Anna and Finn’s relationship. She is worried that their relationship will end up like her and Frisco’s, and wants him to reach out to Anna to come home. Sasha is surprised when she and Carly discover common ground between the two of them. Baby Donna got to come home from the hospital and meet her big sister Avery. Jason and Danny spend some quality time together and Jason tells Danny the truth about Sam’s situation. Jason goes to “Frew” to see if he had any memories of Peter. And Lulu and Dustin spend a date night in when Dustin had to work overtime. Brad wonders who could have sent him the flowers, while Lucas worries that Brad is cheating on him. 

Finn asks Curtis for help with his suspicions regarding Hayden and his child. Hayden pulls a no show on her meeting with Finn when she gets a call about her daughter Violet. She has no choice but to tell Finn that his daughter is the little girl in the hospital. Hayden goes through a list of excuses as to why she never told him about Violet like she was on the run and then Finn had moved on. Julian brings Ava into the hospital after fainting. Lucas was worried about her and asked Dr. Byrne to come in for a consult. Ava felt ambushed and like they thought she was crazy because she feels like someone is watching her. She leaves the hospital and has a gun ready to stop whoever is after her in their tracks. After a visit from Kevin, she feels renewed and ready to take on the world, returning to work for the first time in a while. There she meets Trina, who wants to apply for the internship at the gallery. Dev also shows up with a painting to sell her. The missing portrait of Helena Cassadine! Laura, Curtina, and Jax are still on their mission to find the painting and the Cassadine fortune. Laura also got to spend some time with Robert this week. Can we please make that a thing?! 

Jax is surprised to find out that Nina is back at work and still with Valentin. And Nina received an expensive bottle of champaign from Spencer congratulating Nina on kicking Valentin to the curb. I love that kid! Valentin confronts Laura with the news and makes the big mistake of threatening Spencer. Franco’s trial began and some dramatic and shocking testimonies came from Cam, Liz, Jordan, Kim, Jason, and Monica, who wants so badly to know Drew that she is willing to spend time with Franco. But the most surprising came from Kevin when he determined that “Frew” was competent to make his own decisions. 

Performer of the Week is Kin Shriner! (Scotty Baldwin, General Hospital)

Scotty had a busy week at General Hospital with Franco’s competency trial beginning. We loved seeing Scotty doing his best to reassure Elizabeth that her and Franco’s love would win out in the end. But it was his skills in the courtroom that lands him on the top of our list this week! The battle between Scotty and Martin Gray (Michael E. Knight) - two great actors - was any soap fans dream! His questioning of Kim’s motives and Frew’s memories was a turning point in the case as well!  And the depth of emotion that he showed when Kevin gave his diagnosis on Franco’s competency was phenomenal! Kin proves that the vets still have the goods and need to be showcased like this more often!

Our Honorable Mention of the week is Thorsten Kaye! (Ridge Forrester, The Bold and the Beautiful)

Thorsten Kaye gets our honorable mention this week for the epic battle between husband and wife we got at the end of the week on The Bold and the Beautiful! When forced to choose between his wife’s wishes and his son, he chose Thomas! Ridge and Brooke argued over Brooke demanding Thomas sign over Douglas to Hope and Liam. Brooke believes that this would be best for the child while Ridge believes the gesture is revenge for Thomas’ involvement with the baby swap. Ridge called out the Logan women on their hypocrisy and manipulation tactics and it was a beautiful thing to watch. I’d pay good money to watch Thorsten Kaye vs Katherine Kelly Lang any day! In the end, Ridge left with his son, grandson, and Brooke’s wedding ring.
