So much talent, so little screen time! Here is our list of the Top 10 recurring characters we want on contract! Check it out ---->
As soap opera fans, we all have our favorite characters! We love their larger-than-life personalities, their history, and their stories. And unfortunately, there are some characters that we don’t get the opportunity to see as often as we would like. So, here is our list of the top 10 recurring characters that we want on contract!
10. Anna DiMera (Leann Hunley, Days)
The quirky, over-the-top Anna DiMera always brings the laughs to Days of Our Lives. It was so wonderful to see her recently in Salem as she reunited with her back-from-the-dead love Tony, but where are they now?! They seem to have disappeared just as quick as they came back. We would love to have Anna and Tony in town permanently as we watch their relationship grow after so many years apart.
9. Taylor Hayes (Hunter Tylo, B&B)
If there were ever a time for Taylor to make a stop in Los Angeles it would be now! Her daughter lost a child. Her grandson is dealing with a lot of trauma. And her son went off the deep end! Literally! It would be nice to see Taylor helping her children through their struggles. Also, it would be great to see the REAL Taylor again...not that begging Brooke for mercy stuff we got last year. Nobody asked for that mess. LOL
8. Mac & Felicia Scorpio (John J. York & Kristina Wagner, GH)
As one of General Hospital’s most loved veteran couples, there is no reason why these two should not be on more! Felicia was barely involved in the Ryan Chamberlain storyline this year which was a huge disservice to the story and the fans! Recently, we did get to see Mac step out from behind the bar of the Floating Rib to work as the Police Commissioner for the PCPD and that was wonderful. But a common theme with these two is that the fans always want more!
Fans of this veteran character have been begging for more! It would be nice to finally get him a storyline that doesn’t revolve him arresting someone! Plus, we could always use more Paul and Christine in our lives! I would love for them to go through some challenges as a couple and come out stronger on the other side.
6. Jill Abbott-Atkinson (Jess Walton, YR)
It’s always nice when Jill visits Genoa City. We love to see her relationship with Billy as she continues to be a champion for his life with Victoria. She is such a guiding force for many in the town, and let’s be honest so many people need her at the moment. Plus there is nothing better than Jill’s passive-aggressive attitude towards her frenemies in the town. **Starts a petition for more Jill & Nikki scenes**
5. Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor, Bold)
Everyone looks forward to a Bold and the Beautiful wedding or divorce! Not because of the drama, but because we get to see Carter! Why doesn’t this man have a story?! Saint-Victor is a fantastic actor and is due for more airtime. And hey! Maya is single by the way. *Wink*
4. Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers, GH)
The other Scorpio brother! What can we say? We just love this family. We want more! Robert’s witty attitude, superspy skills, and good looks all belong in Port Charles! With him becoming the new District Attorney we have been seeing a lot more of him recently. Hopefully, that is a sign of good things to come. Plus, we are intrigued by the idea of him and Laura!
3. Adrienne Johnson-Kiriakis/Bonnie Lockhart (Judi Evans, Days)
Double the characters! Double the fun! Judi Evans kills it as Adrienne and her troublesome doppelganger! And with Jack and Steve both being on screen soon, I know many fans are dying to see a Johnson family reunion. It’s such a shame that we don’t get to see more of her!
2. Maya Avant (Karla Mosely, Bold)
The fact that we don’t already have Maya full time on Bold is shocking to us! The show garnered praise when they revealed that Maya was, in fact, a transgender woman only to waste the opportunity of telling her story by sending her off the show. She along with her family became Bold’s first and only central African American family in the show’s history. She was married to and had a child with legacy character, Rick Forrester. And she slays in the fashion business world. You honestly cannot ask for a better set up for a character. There are so many possibilities for storylines that are entertaining and impactful. Plus the fact that Rick & Maya fans feel cheated with the show breaking up the couple offscreen. There has been no real resolution to that unexpected plot point.
1. Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland, YR)
This one is a long time coming! Traci Abbott is not only the heart of the Abbott family but of The Young and the Restless as well. And let’s be honest, without her being the voice of reason the Abbotts would have self-imploded years ago! Over the years, Traci has been in and out of Genoa City, but she hasn’t had a true storyline of her own since the death of her daughter, Colleen. Fans have been loving seeing Traci on screen more over the last few months interacting with her family and writing her book. She was even added to the opening credits for the first time in over two decades! Now the next step is getting Beth on contract and finding her a story that is worthy of her talent! Beth Maitland is a treasure to have in your cast. Use her!
