What a nice and lovely surprise. Marla Adams is finally featured in the Y&R opening credits. The Young and the Restless is honoring Peter Bergman and his 30 years of work as Jack Abbott on Monday, November 25, 2019, with a stand-alone episode also featuring the rest of the Abbott clan. Eileen Davidson (Ashley Abbott) returns for this special occasion. Also, the Abbotts are featured in the opening credits and particularly Marla Adams (Dina Mergeron) who joined the CBS daytime drama in 1983 as a recurring player.
She appeared as Dina from 1983 to 1986, in 1991 and again in 1996, she caused major disruptions in the lives of her three children and ex-husband John Abbott and his wife Jill. She reprised her role as Dina for three episodes on The Young and the Restless in 2008 when Katharine Chancellor was presumed dead. In May 2017, Adams returned to The Young and the Restless. The following March, Adams' performance garnered her an Emmy Nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
