Nikolas has to change his plan of attack on Valentin now that Ava knows he is alive. “Ava has given her conditions for turning over the codicil, and the price might be more than Nikolas is willing to pay,” said O’Connor. As mayor, Laura gets thrown in charge after a crisis hits the city. Jason and Sam will continue to fight their problems head-on! 

Tracy returned for the holidays and brought a warning about the Quartermaine’s future. “The question for the Quartermaines will be whether they can come together as a unit to protect their legacy, or whether their history of fracturing and infighting will be their downfall.” Between Carly’s lies and Sonny’s relentless attempts to aid his ailing father, a strain will be put on their marriage. But Sonny’s resources for Mike “will have unexpected and perhaps even explosive results.”

Liz and Franco will have to work through some lingering effects from their ordeal as Nikolas’ return makes an impact on them. Peter’s perfect life with Maxie that he has worked hard for is thrown in jeopardy as Anna and Jason begin to sniff around possibly finding “the very thing that could expose him.” While “Robert and Finn may be forced to turn to each other in regards to making Anna see the truth about Peter.”

Julian may get another chance at love with an unexpected partner. Neil gets shocking news that could threaten his relationship with Alexis.  “Jordan and Curtis have a big story coming up in 2020 that begins when Jordan learns an old colleague of hers has died and she is suspicious about the circumstances of his death.” Lulu and Dustin are ready to take their romance to the next level when one of them is forced to confront someone from their past. 

Mystery surrounds Nelle’s release from prison. Her return to Port Charles will upend many lives including Michael, Sasha, Carly, Willow, and Chase. “With Nelle’s plot kicking into gear, the fuse will be lit for the truth about Wiley to explode.” Liesl will try to turn over a new leaf, “but she may find that she just can’t outrun her past.” Trina discovers she has more family in town than she realized. And she along with Joss, Cam, and Dev will try to navigate their feelings for each other. “It may be a comedy of errors for the audience, but it spells heartbreak and angst for our teens.”
