Jay Kenneth Johnson Talks Last Blast Reunion, A Possible Days Return, and Much More! Read it here --->>>
Fan-favorite Jay Kenneth Johnson recently sat down with Soap Opera Digest to discuss the “Last Blast Reunion” and much more!
The DOOL App second series “Last Blast Reunion” reunited beloved characters from the late ’90s and early 2000s. Johnson made his return to Salem and joined fellow crew members Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe), Martha Madison (Belle), Brandon Beemer (Shawn), Heather Lindell (Jan), Aaron Van Wagner (Jason), Lindsay Hollister (Susan), Teressa Liane (Mimi), and Chadwick Hopson (Kevin). “I’m really glad that we got to get everybody there to do it. There were a few new people that I hadn’t met, but it was good to meet them and good to see everyone that I used to work with,” he said in the interview.
He also spoke on the amazing fan support that he and the characters from that time continue to have. “The fans really drove us to get more work. We had a very good fan base for some of us there, and the show has a very good fan base, and people are pretty vocal and they kept writing and coming to the events and showing their support. I think they have a big impact on driving some of the stories. It’s always good for the fans to show their support. I think the producers like that, and the actors.” Johnson got to reunite with his onscreen parents Lauren Koslow (Kate) and John Aniston (Victor) for a couple of interviews as well.
The most exciting part of the interview came when Jay was asked about a possible return to the NBC Soap! “I think I would. I had a good time when I was out there. I’d like to get back to Los Angeles. I think that would be a great opportunity.” He also noted that he had been in contact with the show for several months before EP Greg Meng called him about doing the web series. “...He brought me on for this first chapter and said there’s potential for possibly more and maybe some things after that. I’m keeping my fingers crossed and praying that it all works out.” He expressed his gratitude to his fans in the article noting, “I love them all. Thank you for your support. Keep me in your good thoughts and prayers, and hopefully, I’ll see you all very soon.”
