Days of Our Lives
Sonny was shocked to learn the truth about Evan as Ciara and Will rushed to stop him. Marlena did her best to stall Ben’s execution as Ciara dragged Evan to the prison at gunpoint to confess the truth. Rafe brought Evan into custody but he would not give up David’s location. Roman and Hattie discussed their feelings towards each other and it looks like Roman likes her more than he is letting on. After Kayla’s goading, Dr. Rolf suggested that he perform a brain chip procedure on Marlena to make her more susceptible to Stefano. Justin and John began working on their plan to stop Stefano. They wanted Hattie to pretend to be Marlena again but Marlena knew that wouldn’t work. Their plan to rescue Kayla backfired when John was knocked out before he could save the group. Stefano took off with Marlena leaving John, Kayla, and Justin locked up in the storage unit...with gas being pumped into the room. Xander grew worried when he realized that the doctor they paid off during the baby switch was back in town and wasn’t sure she could keep their secret anymore. Victor suggested that she would have to be taken care of. Nicole overheard them talking about a secret and became suspicious. Roman fired and kicked out Kate for her transgressions.
Sarah, Xander, Eric, and Nicole gathered at the hospital as Mickey’s surgery began. Gabi showed up to do her part but was not welcomed with loving and thankful arms. Maggie called out Victor for “playing God” with her life. Shawn was able to get a court order for Gina to have an MRI in the hopes it would lead to a way to bring Hope back. After reading Stefano’s note and putting on the ring, Chad became brainwashed. Kate became concerned after hearing Chad say that he believed Steve was really Stefano. Gabi told Julie that she did regret hurting Eli and began to think of her as family before the blowup. Jennifer met with Gina for the first time since finding out the truth. She was shocked to see no trace of her cousin in the woman in front of her and snapped at her when she laughed about wanting to kill Abby. JJ called Lani to say that he wasn’t coming back to town and was staying with Theo. Eli and Lani’s reunion was ruined when they found out Gabi wouldn’t be paying for her crimes.
The Young and the Restless
Jack sought comfort from his siblings as Dina’s diagnosis progressed. Mariah blew up her relationship by hooking up with Lindsey and getting caught by Tessa who came home for her. Sharon told Jack about her cancer. Victoria told Nikki that she was done with Billy after hearing the story behind her attack. Billy tried to be there for Amanda but she continued to push him away. Reed came home to check on his mom. Rey left Faith to care for Sharon as the effects of her chemo began getting worse. She shared her fears with Mariah. Nate, Devon, and Elena gathered at the building they bought to renovate into their new clinic. When an ice storm hits Genoa City, they are stuck in the cold building but they wind up taking care of their first patient when a kid who was injured during the storm tries to get inside.
During the storm, Phyllis gets stuck at Nick’s place. They continued to fight their feelings for each other by saying they were better off as friends...but that idea went out the window when they kissed again. Billy came back to check on Amanda. He told her that she wasn’t his enabler. She was his solution and helped her when she had a nightmare. Kevin and Chloe got Michael and Lauren as houseguests for the night, which was good for them when Chloe started having Braxton hicks contractions. Chance and Abby worked to keep things calm at the hotel when the weather caused some issues for the guests. Abby also aided Chance in his search for Phyllis’ copies of the audio file confession. Theo and Lola found themselves locked in at Society with Summer and Kyle of all people. The girls worked to keep the peace as the testosterone began to take over the place. Lola and Theo shared a couple more hot kisses as they talked about the upcoming first date. Victor told Adam that he needed to trust him before he would let him run the company but after a talk with Chelsea, it looks like he is ready to let him back into the company.
The Bold and the Beautiful
Wyatt was concerned that Sally would figure out about his plan and upset her. Katie was able to convince Sally to move in with Wyatt. Zoe tried to spend some time with Douglas to ease his mind about her marrying Thomas. After talking with Vinnie about his plan, Thomas decided to take things a step further by moving up the wedding as soon as possible. The move made Douglas freak out more and upset Hope. When she confronted Thomas about the issue he told her that once he was married that most of Douglas’ time would be spent with Zoe and not her. Ridge shared the news about the wedding with Brooke expecting her to be excited but once again she was skeptical.
After arguing with Thomas and seeing how much Liam was missing his family, she decided to tell the truth. Liam was upset mostly with Thomas and called for Hope to come here the truth from Steffy herself. Carter told Zoe that she deserved better than Thomas. Flo filled Shauna in on the Sally situation. They talked about Shauna’s chances of being with Ridge. Thomas began coaching Douglas on what to say to make Hope stop his wedding and agree to marry him instead.
General Hospital
Michael worked to convince Willow to be a part of Wiley’s life even though she was hesitant to do so. Everyone began to gather at the hospital after the shootout. Things went from bad to worse as Taggart succumbed to his injuries. Brando was thinking of leaving town but Carly and Sonny told him he would have to stay for now. Cam is trying to ignore his own trauma to care for Trina. Laura was filled in about Jordan’s history with Renault and took the opportunity to confront Cyrus in prison. She warned him that she wasn’t going to play his games and sent him to solitary. Jordan was planning on resigning to protect her family but Curtis had another plan...working with Sonny to take down Cyrus. The couple argued over the fact that she was unwilling to do so. Maxie continued to think about Lucy’s offer while feeling underappreciated by Nina.
Julian threatened Brook Lynn’s manager but was interrupted by Valentin before he could tear up the contract. Michael asked Ned to take over ELQ while he takes a leave of absence and Ned is going to use the opportunity to take over permanently. Brook Lynn’s manager gave her a new offer. Her shares of ELQ for her freedom. Anna spent some time with Finn and Violet before asking him if he was going to let his feelings about Peter drive them apart. After some evidence went missing in Nelle’s case thanks to Valentin, the charges were dropped. She then informed Michael that she would be fighting for full custody of Wiley. Chase went to Sasha with his concerns about WIllow. Spinelli was busted by Liesl spying on Peter. He wondered if she would be willing to help him take down Peter. And she should have taken the deal because Peter set her up for the murder of Drew and the attempted hit on Franco and Andre. Anna was happy to find the evidence against Liesl and had her arrested.
Ava stopped by to check on Trina after her father’s death, which didn’t make Portia too happy. Molly grew concerned when TJ never came home or showed up at work after their fight. She went to Jordan with her concerns but they passed it off as him needing time. Neal and Alexis ended up at the same opera out of town together. Jax and Nina’s relationship was HR-approved. Anna was quick to fill in Robert and Finn about Peter’s innocence after Liesl’s arrest.
Our Performer of the Week is Days of Our Lives’ Victoria Konefal
Ciara Alice Brady made her parents proud this week! She never gave up as she worked to prove Ben’s innocence before his execution. Victoria’s performance was fantastic and emotional as she portrayed Ciara’s desperation to save the man she loves. Bravo!
Our Honorable Mentions are:
General Hospital’s Genie Francis
To be honest, Genie Francis is so good she could read from the phonebook and we’d still give her a trophy. But this week Genie was a standout as Laura confronted Cyrus Renault in prison. She has faced tougher demons than him and she let him know that she was not one to play his games. She has us screaming ‘yes, Queen’ at our screens!
Days of Our Lives’ Melissa Reeves
Missy is in my humble opinion one of the most underrated actresses in daytime! When given great material she really shines. And seeing her interact onscreen with Kristian Alfonso always makes us smile. Jennifer got to meet with Gina for the first time after finding out the truth about her identity. She was shocked to see no trace of her cousin in the woman in front of her. And the way she reacted when Gina joked about being willing to kill Abby was perhaps my favorite scene of the week. Jennifer practically jumped across that table at her and I love every second of it!
