The Young and the Restless
Victoria finally opened up to Sharon about her feelings and recovery, and ultimately came to the decision that she was going to need more time and help from family to heal. Tanner worked to put Mariah and Tessa in the same place to try and fix their relationship. But the plan failed when Tessa was too hurt to forgive Mariah. Rey talked with Faith about her skipping classes, and learned that she was missing the freedom that boarding school provided her. Adam’s reunion with an old friend from childhood didn’t go as planned. He learned that after her father - who apparently was not a good man - died he and Hope never showed up for the funeral despite how close their families were. After talking it through with Chelsea, Adam remembered that Victor was suspiciously in town when his friend’s father died. Chloe gave Phyllis her resignation from The Grand Phoenix. Traci and Ashley spent some sisterly time together talking about regret and moving forward.
Abby asked Lola to help her set up her new restaurant in her hotel. Lily and Billy had to work through the growing pains of working together for the first time as Jill secured the duo office space in the now vacant Dark Horse building. Jack had a talk with Theo about his resentment towards Kyle that apparently went in one ear and out the other. He began to work on a new scheme when Kyle was left solely in charge after Jack decided to take a step back to be with Dina. After finding out that Colin had used Devon and Chancellor Industry money in a laundering scheme, Chance and Abby decided to set off to find him. Amanda opened up to Nate about her troubled past in the foster care system. Phyllis and Nick had differing opinions when Summer and Kyle revealed their relationship to them. Their bickering led Summer to realize that they were hooking up again despite every warning sign pointing to that being a bad idea.
The Bold and the Beautiful
Thomas’ family was reeling from the fallout of the wedding and Ridge was concerned when he couldn’t get a hold of Thomas. Steffy came to an understanding with Liam and Hope about how to move on together as a blended family. Brooke and Ridge finally reunited. Liam enlisted Douglas’ help setting up an impromptu wedding ceremony with just them and the kids. Bill couldn’t get his kiss with Brooke off his mind. Shauna revealed to Quinn that she had spotted Bill and Brooke kissing and had filmed it. Shauna decided that she didn’t want to interfere in Ridge’s relationship anymore but Quinn had other plans. She sent the file to herself and uploaded it to Brooke’s brand new digital picture frame in her living room. Sally’s doctor made a house call to try to convince her to tell Wyatt the truth. Sally finally broke the news to Wyatt about her being sick...but it turns out that wasn’t the secret Doctor Penny had meant. The whole thing has been a scam! Sally isn’t really dying!
Days of Our Lives
Xander and Sarah got engaged and received blessings from Maggie and her only. Christian and his father, Orpheus, worked to keep David hidden but that started to become difficult with David developing a fever and the cops on their trail. John was desperate in his search to track down Marlena as Stefano’s plan was starting to come together. The doctor decided to leave town after Nicole confronted her about the baby swap but she made sure to give Xander a heads up before she did. Gina tried to no avail to convince Rolf not to turn her back into Hope. The surgery was a success but Hope was devastated to learn what had happened over the last year and a half. Ben learned that Clyde knew who Christian was because he had worked with Orpheus before. After sharing the news with Ciara, she informed Rafe about their connection.
Stefano laid into Chad for failing to follow his orders. He gave him one last chance to take out Kate and Gabi and gave him the task to gather the DiMera children for a meeting. He knocked out Kate, who was onto him, and Gabi, who had shown up at the house. Nicole took matters into her own hands and got a swab of Mickey’s DNA to test with Kristen’s - which she got by pulling out her hair during a fight. Kayla had to fill in Hope about Steve’s situation and the search for Marlena.
General Hospital
Sonny gave Brando the opportunity to run the garage with no strings attached and he hesitantly accepted the offer. Unexpectedly, his first customer was Harmony who was acting nervous around him and Jason with her brand new car. Jason went to Willow who shared her own concerns about her mother’s recent behavior. Carly and Jax discussed the possibility of Joss going back to Australia but she decided to stay in Port Charles despite her feelings towards her current situation. Franco went to Scotty for help with money after needing some serious house repairs. Sonny began questioning Julian about helping Brad. Robert went to Liesl for help to take down Peter. Which she was happy to help with especially after Britt refused to believe she was innocent. Liz talked with Neal and Laura about what to do for Cam who is still suffering from nightmares after the kidnapping. While Cam ended up discussing his feelings with Trina that led to them sharing an unexpected kiss. Carly warned Portia to keep an eye on Ava’s relationship with Trina.
Nelle was awarded supervised visits with Wiley and made sure to make a spectacle of the situation. Sasha came up with the plan to have Michael marry Willow to protect Wiley. Chase and Michael were against the idea but Willow started to wonder if that would be the best move. Neal was officially put on the staff at GH. Jordan tracked down the location of TJ’s phone but was too late. Renault’s team had already moved him. Harmony gave her the first assignment which she went along with. We learned that Curtis had an affair with Portia back in the day - not knowing that she was married at the time. He was thankful to learn that Trina was not his daughter according to Portia. Jason and Spinelli refused Anna’s plea for them to soften their opinions of Peter.
Spinelli and Peter had a tense standoff about being in Maxie and her kids’ lives. Brook Lynn’s first day at ELQ was disastrous. She accidentally leaked confidential files about a merger on her Facebook page. Lulu, who spotted the error, shared the leak on The Reporter. Ned and Michael went to work to fix the situation while Brook Lynn went to confront Lulu. They ended up in a fight that led to Brook Lynn being arrested after accidentally hitting Chase. Maxie was upset when Jax turned down Nina’s proposal to give Maxie a raise. Maxie gave her resignation and assumed that she had a job with Lucy. Nina ended her deal with Lucy over trying to poach Maxie, which led to Lucy accepting Valentin’s offer to fully back Deception.
Our Performers of the Week are The Young and the Restless’ Cait Fairbanks and Camryn Grimes!
These ladies are amazing on and off the screen! Our hearts broke as it seems like this could be the end of Teriah for now. Mariah pleaded for forgiveness from Tessa for her betrayal and was finally honest with her about hiding the fact that her life was falling apart. Tessa was hurt to learn that Mariah felt like she couldn’t confide in her about her problems and decided to do so with someone else.
For fans, Cait and Camryn’s performances were both equally devastating and hopeful. As much as it hurts to see these characters ripped apart, it is honestly fantastic to see this couple being written for like any other soap couple!
Our Honorable Mentions is Days of Our Lives’ Kristian Alfonso
Hope is back!!! (Hopefully!) After the brain chip removal surgery, Hope was overwhelmed with the weight of what had happened to her. She learned that the essence of Princess Gina had been in control of her body for almost a year and a half and that as Gina she had almost killed her beloved cousin Jennifer. Kristian’s performance was a stand out for the week as Hope had to work to understand what she - and her loved ones - had been through and all the time that she had lost. It was also really amazing as a fan to see Kristian in some incredible scenes alongside Melissa Reeves and Mary Beth Evans. That’s a trio that we will never tire of seeing together!
