The Bold and the Beautiful
Liam and Steffy worked to’ make Hope understand that Thomas was a common enemy between the three of them, and they started to come up with a plan to take him down. Brooke found comfort and validation in Bill which led to an unexpected kiss...that someone may have seen from the window. They chalked it up as nothing and decided to forget it ever happened. Zoe’s suspicions of Thomas grew stronger as she walked in on a conversation between him and Vinnie. Thomas continued to put pressure on Douglas to keep their family together by convincing Hope to marry him. Shauna spent some time with Ridge discussing the state of his relationship.
Family and friends gathered as the day of the wedding had finally arrived. Both the bride and groom were met with hesitation from their guests. Bill talked with Wyatt about having to step up and seek revenge against Thomas for the pain he brought Brooke’s family. An upset Douglas took off during the ceremony and was swiftly followed by Hope. Thinking that Hope was going to cave and marry him, Thomas tried to stall the proceedings. But Zoe was adamant about moving forward. Things were getting down to the wire as the two shared their vows, but were interrupted just in time by Hope...wearing the wedding dress that Thomas had designed for her. Thomas quickly dumped Zoe at the altar for his new bride, but his dreams were soon dashed. Hope, Steffy, Liam, and Zoe told him that they had figured everything out and were not going to let him get away with it. The rest of the family were shocked to learn the truth and all had their turn at confronting Thomas before he took off.
The Young and the Restless
Kyle wasn’t too excited to see Theo and Lola cuddled up after the storm. While Lola told Theo that even though she liked him she didn’t want to move too fast into a new relationship. After talking with Phyllis, Nick decided to take charge of Newman. Which was too bad for Adam who was just about to be handed the position when Victor received his call. Adam was understandably upset and vowed to seek revenge on his father believing that he had been playing him the whole time. Chelsea decided to stand fully behind her man and offered up the idea to go to Kansas to regroup before they sought action against Victor. Phyllis realized that her room had been broken into and that the copies of the recording were gone. She let it slip to Abby that there was another copy in a safe deposit box, which led to planning to impersonate Phyllis to get access to the box. Chelsea shared the news of her engagement to a not so enthused Chloe.
Amanda and Billy shared a kiss. After getting sick from her weakened immune system, Sharon had to postpone one of her chemo treatments. The deviation from her plans struck hard with her and she began to push away her loved ones again. Rey reached out to an unlikely source of support for her in Nikki. Nikki stopped by to set her straight about needing people around her and let Sharon release all of her fears and frustrations on her. Devon, Nate, and Elena were heartbroken as Jared’s grandfather died. Amanda, who revealed that she was once in the foster system herself, reached out to him. Victoria laid into Billy blaming him for her broken state and telling him that she is done with him forever. Mariah went to Kyle for support after blowing up her relationship. Ripley pleaded guilty, saving everyone involved the pain of a trial. Victoria rightly questioned Nick’s commitment to running Newman in her absence. Phyllis and Nick went from the friendzone straight to the top of Victoria’s desk at Newman. After talking with Ashley, Billy decided to take Jill up on her job offer. But he quickly learned that it would come with conditions. Jill wanted him to work hand in hand with a partner...Lily. They were tasked with deciding if they could work together or neither one of them would get the job. Ultimately deciding to try the partnership out. Victoria’s family began to grow concerned about her behavior when Nate told them that he suspected that she was suffering from PTSD. Nick called Rey for help with a problem with Faith.
Days of Our Lives
The search for David got harder after the judge threw out Evan’s confession claiming that it was coerced. Rafe’s plan to have him followed fell through when he lost the cop on the trail. Evan met up with the man caring for David while he was away...Orpheus!!! Roman and Hattie were able to save Kayla, Justin, and John just in time. Chad stopped Marlena from getting away from Stefano. Rolf performed the chip procedure on her, but Stefano wasn’t happy with the results when she still talked about John. Kayla worked hard to make Justin believe that nothing had changed between them now that they know the truth about Steve. But he was still unsure of her words. A fact that Gina tried to take advantage of when she asked Justin to represent her. She advised that if they could do no further testing on her then they wouldn’t know how to reverse the procedure for her or for Steve. Justin turned her down. Chad got Kate to sign over her shares of DiMera stock in exchange for making sure that her charges would be dropped with the side of money.
Jack and Jennifer learned from Sarah that Hope’s brain chip would require a skilled surgeon to remove. Chad’s orders to kill Gabi and Kate were thwarted by interruptions. John went to Gina for help trying to locate Stefano and she sent him to the DiMera mansion. He wasn’t able to find them but did apprehend Dr. Rolf. Chad talked with Rolf at the station and advised him that he would have to work with the police by helping turn Gina back into Hope. That way they would leave him alone and provide a distraction for Stefano. Ciara left Ben’s side to check on her mom finally. Will visited Ben at the infirmary and he expressed his fear of the charges not being dropped. Xander warned Mickey’s doctor that if she didn’t leave town soon that she may not get the chance to if Victor has his way.
Eli and Lani decided to join the search for David. Eric and Sarah got good news when they learned that the bone marrow transplant was working. Kristen was feeling emotional after having another dream about Rachel. She and Brady took a moment to try and remember the little time they had with their daughter. Kristen remembered that Rachel had a birthmark in the shape of a heart on her neck. Nicole continued to keep her eye out on Xander. But after talking with Brady about Rachel - and her birthmark - she was shocked to see the birthmark on Mickey.
General Hospital
Neal and Alexis FINALLY gave in to their feelings and hooked up in New York. Their afterglow was short-lived as his meeting with the review board was about to start. They argued again about what would be the best thing to do. Alexis, knowing how many people Neal could help, lied to the board for him. The review board decided to let Neal keep his license, but he wasn’t so sure that’s what he wanted. They finally came to the understanding that they would have to say their goodbyes. Maxie was with the news about Liesl and wasn’t willing to hear Spinelli’s accusations out about Peter. Jason also tried to no avail to get Anna to see that she was being played. Finn apologized to Anna and he and Violet decided to go back home with her. Chase and Sasha spent some time together - that seemed somewhat flirty to me - talking about the Wiley situation. Diane advised Michael that he should provide Wiley with a mother figure to look good for the custody battle, but was unaware of Sasha’s checkered past. After some thinking, Sasha agreed to marry Michael - even though she told Chase that she wasn’t ready to be a mother. Diane then backtracked saying that Sasha’s reputation could hurt Michael’s chances at getting sole custody.
Things went from bad to worse at Taggart’s memorial was interrupted. First, Sonny showed up uninvited to make a toast in his honor. Then Trina laid into Curtis for showing up...and THEN when we learned that Curtis somehow knows Trina’s mom, Portia, from the past. Julian began getting concerned when multiple began questioning whether or not Brad had help in his plan. Sonny got to Brad before his hearing began and threatened him to plead guilty. Brad gave in and decided to plead guilty knowing that he would go away to prison. He and Lucas shared a heartbreaking goodbye. Brad then got another surprise when Britt made it back to town to spend some time with him before he was taken back to jail. He filled her in on his situation including her mother’s involvement. Brook Lynn decided to work at ELQ after spending time with Mike.
Liesl was upset when she was visited by Franco and Nina...neither one of them believing that she was innocent. Jordan learned that she should have been worried about TJ all along when Cyrus reveals that he has had him held hostage. Jordan has to meet with one of Cyrus’ minions...which turns out to be Harmony. She agreed to work with him in exchange for helping her get the early release from prison. Harmony tells Jordan that she is expected to Renault’s person on the inside making sure that all of his shipments go through without any problems or TJ will be in danger. Britt made her way to the bar and sought out a conversation with Julian. One drink led to another and another...and they ended up hooking up.
Our Performers of the Week are General Hospital’s Parry Shen & Ryan Carnes
We love #Brucas with all of our hearts! And this storyline has completely broken us along the way. Parry and Ryan finished us off as Brad and Lucas said their goodbyes after Brad pleaded guilty. It was hard to watch these two people who are clearly still in love with each other have to step back from their relationship.
Lucas was having a hard time dealing with his mixed feelings knowing that his husband had betrayed him...but not for malicious reasons. Ryan Carnes is one of those actors that he doesn’t have a word to tell what he is feeling...and we saw the heartbreak in his eyes. Then with Brad wanting to make this as easy as he could on Lucas told him to move on and find someone that deserved him. AND I just want to say that Parry Shen has been putting in the work throughout this entire storyline.
Our Honorable Mentions are:
The Young and the Restless’ Amelia Heinle
Victoria let Billy have it this week - and rightly so! Too many times she has had her voice taken from her, and this time she was ready to stand up for herself. She wasn’t there to hear Billy’s apologies or excuses. She was there to let him know just how much he had hurt her and that there would be no forgiving him this time. When Amelia uttered the line about being broken our hearts broke with her. Then when she followed it up with the fact that it was Billy’s fault we were screaming in agreement!
Please. Please. Please let this storyline become something amazing for Amelia! We were robbed of the emotional aftermath of the JT situation, and it seems like the mixture of that and the effects of the stabbing are leading to PTSD plot for Victoria.
The Bold and the Beautiful’s Matthew Atkinson
The entire cast of B&B did amazing at the conclusion of last week! And often throughout this storyline, we shouted out Jacqueline and Annika for their incredible work. Now is the time we put the spotlight on Matthew Atkinson! He is just a phenomenal talent. He has been able to play the creepy bad guy so successfully that it’s scary at times. But we got to see another side of Thomas on Friday. As he looked around the room realizing that his loved ones had all turned against him...that he had no one on his side, we saw the shift in his eyes. It was a look full of pain and one that struck deep. Bravo!
