Honorable Mentions:
12. Rick Forrester & Amber Moore (The Bold and the Beautiful)
This young pair started off quite scandalous when Amber seduced the younger Rick while hired to keep an eye on him and his sister while their parents were away. Though this couple was full of warning signs pointing to a bad idea...there is no doubt that we loved the wild ride!
11. Aaron Snyder & Lucy Montgomery (As The World Turns)
Aaron and Lucy were a beautiful couple! Unfortunately, their love wasn’t strong enough to survive all the hurdles in their way. From Lucy’s father’s constant disapproval, interference by a lovestruck Alison, and Aaron’s dangerous and illegal job these two were just not meant to be.
Top 10
10. Phillip Spaulding & Beth Raines (Guiding Light)
Along with best friends Rick and Mindy, Beth and Phillip were known as The Four Musketeers. Fate pushed Beth and Phillip over and over again throughout the years. Even though they would have their share of problems it was clear that they were meant to be. They would go on to be married a couple of times and have two children, James and Lizzie, together.
9. J.T. Hellstrom & Colleen Carlton (The Young and the Restless)
J.T. and Colleen went through a lot to be together even going as far as running off to New York to get away from their disapproving families. Over the next few years, they would work hard on developing a solid friendship before Colleen was tragically killed in 2009.
8. Miguel Lopez-Fitzgerald & Charity Standish (Passions)
It was love at first sight for this couple! Miguel and Charity were the pictures of young love as they battled many supernatural roadblocks...including constant interference from Charity’s cousin Kay, who was in love with Miguel as well.
7. Lucas Horton & Sami Brady (Days of Our Lives)
From the scheming dream team to soulmates! Lumi should be endgame and you’ll never convince me otherwise! As teens, these two plotted to break up Carrie and Austin - each wanting the other for themselves. After Sami is raped, Lucas worked hard to make sure her attacker paid for his crime. Not long after the two would make love and Sami discovered that she was pregnant. Still, in love with Austin, she claims that the baby is his for two years until the truth would finally come to light. These two would go on to define the meaning of “on and off” as they would marry and divorce...getting back together only to break up again and again. Though, there is no doubt about the love they have for each other.
6. Dillon Quartermaine & Georgie Jones (General Hospital)
Dillon and Georgie’s relationship started off as a facade but soon became truly real. They battled through the complications of other people and interference from Dillon’s mother, Tracy. When Dillon became deathly ill, their parents allowed them to marry thinking that this would be the only time they would have. They found young married life difficult and eventually divorced after too many obstacles got in the way.
5. Starr Manning & Cole Thornhart (One Life to Live)
These two lived a Romeo and Juliet-esque love story with Cole’s mother hating Starr’s father - and rightfully so! In 2008, fans rejoiced when it was revealed that Jesse was alive and he reunited with his true love at the train station after 20 years!
2. Shawn Brady & Belle Black/Philip Kiriakis & Chloe Lane (Days of Our Lives)
It was hard to separate these couples because so much of their history is intertwined. Throughout the early 2000s, these four characters were the Fab Four! And both love stories had their high points. Shawn and Belle, the children of supercouples, were seemingly destined to be together. While Chloe and Philip were the opposite. The shy brainy girl and the wealthy popular guy. Fans swooned at the school dance when Philip saw Chloe in that red dress for the first time!
