Honorable Mentions:
12. Rachel Cory Hutchins/Justine Duvalier (Another World)
In one of Another World’s most infamous storylines, fan-favorite Rachel was kidnapped and impersonated by an evil doppelgänger countess, Justine Duvalier. Fans were happy when Justine finally got her deserved ending thanks to Carl and his letter opener!
11. Lily Snyder/Rose D’Angelo (As the World Turns)
Lily and Rose connected when Lily was looking for information about an old photo that they each had. Shocked that they were identical, the pair decided to switch places to trick Simon in the hopes of getting a diamond that belonged to their descendant. Fearing that she had been played by Lily, Rose took over her life before being discovered by Lily's adoptive mother. When Lily returned to Oakdale they received proof that they were twins who had been separated at birth. The sisters would become close before Rose was murdered in 2003.
Top 10
10. Adrienne Johnson/Bonnie Lockhart (Days of Our Lives)
Don’t get us wrong! We love Bonnie but she wasn’t always a doppelganger! She was portrayed by two other actresses before the wonderful Judi Evans stepped into the role making her Adrienne’s double. Always jealous of the wealthier families in Salem, Bonnie has done some sketchy things in the hopes of gaining the position she wants. Along with friend and fellow imposter Hattie, they took over Adrienne and Hattie’s lives causing all kinds of problems for the people of Salem.
9. Katherine Chancellor/Marge Cotroke (The Young and the Restless)
Clint Radison discovered Marge, who was a dead ringer for Katherine. He plotted to steal Katherine's fortune by kidnapping her and putting Marge in her place. Marge did a number of evil deeds including selling Chancellor Industries and ruining Katherine's relationship with Rex. Thank goodness Brock showed up and foiled the plot.
8. Phyllis Summers/Sheila Carter (The Young and the Restless)
Notorious villainess Sheila Carter, who was presumed dead, had plastic surgery to look like Phyllis. She caused total chaos by shooting Paul’s girlfriend Maggie, kidnapping the real Phyllis, Summer, and Fenmore. She would eventually be stopped by Lauren, who came to rescue them.
7. Kevin Collins/Ryan Chamberlain (General Hospital)
Ryan was introduced as a pediatrician at General Hospital, but his mentally unstable behavior and murderous past were soon revealed. After he tortured Felicia, he was arrested for attempted murder prompting his twin Kevin, a psychiatrist, to come to town to rehabilitate his brother. Ryan would use his wit to take over his brother’s life and go rampant on Port Charles before he was stopped.
6. Adam & Stuart Chandler (All My Children)
Adam and Stuart are identical twin brothers with completely different possibilities. Adam is ruthless, unethical, and domineering while Stuart is kind, generous, and honest. Over the years, Stuart would impersonate his brother...though mostly unsuccessfully.
5. Hope Brady/Princess Gina Von Amberg (Days of Our Lives)
Art thief Princess Gina Von Amberg has wreaked havoc on the lives of Hope Brady and her loved ones for years!. Though the real Gina was shot during a struggle with Bo in 2000, she has made several appearances in the form of an alternate personality over the years.
4. Marlena Evans/Hattie Adams (Days of Our Lives)
Hattie Adams is a riot! Hattie, who initially only bore a slight resemblance to Marlena Evans, had plastic surgery to appear identical to her thanks to Stefano and his cohorts. Over the years, Hattie has used her identity to pass herself off as Marlena - sometimes even as a way to help her out.
3. Livvie Locke/Tess (Port Charles)
An injured Jack was rescued by a girl in a cave, named Tess, who was identical to Livvie. Tess had no knowledge of where she came from or the outside world...but she did have healing powers. Soon the town discovered that whatever happened to Tess also happened to Livvie. It turned out that Caleb had created Tess by pulling the good part of Livvie. The two women would have to merge to protect themselves and Caleb eventually made the two women into one whole Olivia.
2. Reva Shayne Lewis/Dolly (Guiding Light)
After Reva was presumed dead, Josh in his grief unknowingly allowed Dr. Michael Burke to produce a clone of Reva with Reva's frozen eggs. Thanks to the help of an aging serum the clone soon was able to take Reva captive when she showed back up in Springfield. However, the clone began to feel guilty for leaving Reva to die and led Josh to her. Reva felt bad for her and bonded with the clone making her into her long-lost cousin, Dolly. Unfortunately, Dolly overdosed on the aging serum to get over her love for Josh and died.
And our number one pick is…
Kristen DiMera/Susan Banks (Days of Our Lives)
Stefano was responsible for another double when he hired a Kristen lookalike, Susan Banks, to carry a child for Kristen. The plan was soon thrown out of whack when Susan wanted to claim her child and John as her own. The two would impersonate each other on several occasions over the years. Stacy Haiduk has done an amazing job recently as the duo. But Eileen Davidson portraying all of the Banks siblings at once should go down in soap opera history!
You have got to be kidding me?? The actress of a daytime soap opera that I have ever play the multiple disorder on any soap opera would definitely be Vicki/Nikki from General Hospital. Are you kidding me? If you don't believe me go back and watch this is during the Luke and Laura season.
