Passions alums and real-life couple; Natalie Zea (Gwen) and Travis Schuldt (Ethan) release Passions for Life series. See what they had to say about it here--->>
Former Passions stars and real-life couple; Natalie Zea (ex-Gwen Hotchkiss) and Travis Schuldt (ex-Ethan Winthrop) have started a new podcast in regards to the show. The new podcast is titled Passions for Life and began a week ago. Schuldt and Zea talk about work, life and love during and after their time on one of tv’s weirdest shows, Passions. Now on Apple, Spotify, et al.
We got a chance to speak to them about the new series. In regards to how the podcast came about they disclosed, "We were approached by our friend and PFL producer, Valentine, about the possibility of doing a podcast about our time together on the show and initially, we laughed it off. But the more we thought about it and realized how much we’ve missed connecting with an audience during the industry shutdown, we thought it might be something creative we could do while we’re waiting for everything to start back up. That, coupled with the idea that people are really pining for nostalgia in a big way right now."
The couple hopes to accomplish so much with their new venture during this pandemic. "Honestly, it’s just an opportunity for us to reminisce about a time in our lives that sort of propelled us forward into who we are today. We've had so many conversations through the years about our days on Passions. Reflecting on the job, our relationship, and what was going on in our personal lives at the time so we thought it might be fun to share them. And if other people want to listen in, that’s great too."
When we asked how was it preparing for their first episode, they said, "We looked through some old datebooks from 20 years ago and the rest was just pieced together from our brains. The subsequent episodes involve rewatching Passions, which has its own challenges. Memories we’d thought were dead and buried come flooding back. "
Being that the podcast was named after the NBC daytime drama which premiered approximately 21 years ago, we wanted to know if any of the former cast would make appearances on the podcast. They couldn't disclose who just yet but teased, "We will have guests. They will be unexpected."
We would love for it to be a long term series and so do the couple. They said, "We’d like for it to be," as they continued, "Eventually, film and television will be opening back up and we’ll have to go back to work, but until then, we’ll use this time to our advantage and hopefully get a bunch of episodes in the can before we get too busy with our day jobs."
You can listen to episode 1 below! Episode 2 will be released tomorrow - look out for that!
