Our Performers of the Week are Days of Our Lives Alison Sweeney & Drake Hogestyn!
When thinking of the best performers of the week these two were instantly at the top of our list! These characters have such a troubled past that they have worked hard to move on from but that old resentment still lingers at times. Things turned heated when John called out Sami for her selfishness and making Allie’s decision all about her. As per usual, when Sami is told she is wrong she goes on the defense. She hit straight for the low blow reminding John that he is not her father and in turn has no relationship with her grandson and no reason to interfere. The argument leads to John collapsing of a ruptured brain aneurysm. Alison and Drake did a fantastic job playing the anger and the deep-rooted feelings of these characters!
Our Honorable Mentions are:
General Hospital’s Chloe Lanier!
In our humble opinion, Nelle Benson is one of the best soap villains in recent years! Full of self-interest and a complete lack of morals, she is down for the worst of deeds without a care in the world. This week she showed that to the highest point as she slit Brook Lynn’s throat with a pair of fabric shears after she caught her planning Wiley’s kidnapping at the hands of Julian. She’s ruthless and Chloe plays that so perfectly that it’s scary at times!
Days of Our Lives’ Robert Scott Wilson!
The fan-favorite performer this week was RSW himself! Robert has done a wonderful job of portraying Ben’s battle between his brainwashing and saving the woman he loves. We’ve also noticed the brilliant way he has made us unsure of whether or not the brainwashing is working. Will he snap? Will his love for Ciara be stronger than any drug?! Who knows? All we know is that we are excited to see where this actor takes us next!
