Soap Grade: Lindsay Hartley as Sam Morgan on General Hospital. Learn more here--->>
If you were a Passions fan like ourselves, it means you would've been ecstatic about Lindsay Hartley's return to soaps. Today, August 4, 2020, after being absent from the genre since 2013, Hartley stepped back in it and it was like she didn't miss a beat.
Hartley debuted on General Hospital as a temporary recast Sam McCall Morgan filling in for Kelly Monaco. She shared scenes with Nancy Lee Grahn's Alexis Davis and Steve Burton's Jason Morgan. Hartley's version of Sam was upbeat, she had a voice, she had a grand entrance, she had chemistry with both characters interacted with and the character of Sam was once again alive. General Hospital was on point with their selection for a temporary recast.
With an already successful career in daytime with roles as Theresa Lopez-Fizgeratld on Passions, Cara Castillo on All My Children and Arianna Hernandez on Days of Our Lives, Hartley was right home where she belongs. She also has recent success with Lifetime and Hallmark movies. She is now even producing, writing and directing.
So as we grade Hartley's debut we gave her an A+. She is truly deserving of it and we're hoping that GH keeps her even if it means creating a new role for her. Let us know if you agree.
