Guiding Light alum, Ron Raines (Alan Spaulding) is staying busy. He currently stars in the web series, Beacon Hill as Senator William Preston. But in the upcoming 8th season of The Blacklist, set to premiere on November 13, he will replace Brian Dennehy (who passed away earlier this year) as Dom Wilkinson. Raines will be recurring in the role.
The Blacklist is an American crime thriller television series that premiered on NBC on September 23, 2013. The show follows Raymond "Red" Reddington (James Spader), a former U.S. Navy officer turned high-profile criminal, who voluntarily surrenders to the FBI after eluding capture for decades. He tells the FBI that he has a list of the most dangerous criminals in the world that he has compiled over the years and is willing to inform on their operations in exchange for immunity from prosecution. However, he insists on working exclusively with a rookie FBI profiler by the name of Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone).
Raines has also booked a guest spot on HBO's upcoming series called The Gilded Age. Which is an upcoming historical drama television series developed by Downton Abbey creator Julian Fellowes for HBO that is set in America during the Gilded Age, the boom years of 1880s New York City. Originally announced in 2018 for NBC, it was later announced in May 2019 that the show will move from NBC to HBO.
