Our Performer of the Week is The Young and the Restless’ Jason Thompson!
There wasn’t just one moment that stood out for Jason Thompson this week. It was a collection of strong, intense scenes that made him our pick for Performer of the Week. Seeing Billy not have a care in the world as he dropped the bomb of an article against the Newman family was fantastic. It was the actions of a man who was just tired of seeing these two men skate by in life having ruined everyone else's’ along the way. Billy wanted revenge and he was willing to do whatever that took...even if it ends up taking him down in the process. Thompson, who continuously delivers solid work, was able to play Billy’s drive for retribution with perfect clarity. Bravo!
Our Honorable Mention goes to The Bold and the Beautiful's Thorsten Kaye!
This week Thorsten portrayed Ridge's heartbreak over Steffy's addiction with such raw conviction that it had us reaching for the tissues! Pulling out all the emotional stops, Ridge pleaded with his daughter to seek help as he didn't want to lose another child so senselessly. The best part of Kaye's performance was the subtly to his scenes. You were able to feel every emotion without the over dramatics that a scene like that would normally call for.
