Our Performer of the Week is General Hospital’s Emme Rylan!
No one does disaster stories better than General Hospital! Poor Lulu was devastated to learn that Dustin had died after proposing to her. She shared her guilt with Maxie over the fact that she was planning on turning him down because of her feelings for Dante. Things turned disastrous when Lulu collapsed trying to tell Dante she still loved him. Sadly, Lucas revealed that she had an undiagnosed traumatic brain injury from the explosion and the damage was severe as she was in a coma.
Emme’s portrayal of Lulu’s pain and guilt over Dustin was just heartbreaking...even if our hearts are with her and Dante. She is a phenomenal actress, who we hope to see much more of! Her performance was backed up by incredibly emotional additions from Genie Francis and Dominic Zamprogna! These three made for a perfect trio that had us reaching for the tissues...and the wine!
Our Honorable Mention is Days of Our Lives’ Heather Lindell!
This week Jan held Shawn and Belle’s family hostage with the threat that Belle was being held at gunpoint. She thought her plan to marry Shawn was finally going to work as they placated her. Unfortunately for her, the wedding was stopped by Brady and Eli. She then found herself being rushed to the hospital after being choked out by John when she teased that she had killed Belle.
Heather Lindell plays Jan Spears’ with perfection! The level of delusion that the character has...and the way that Lindell plays it is just fun to watch! She will be sorely missed on canvas. We need more villains!
