The Young and the Restless
Victoria and Nick pulled an “I told you so” with Victor when Adam failed to show up at their family meeting. Though what they didn’t know was that he didn’t show up because Chelsea had somehow escaped from the room she was locked in. At the building out of town, Chance followed Adam and confronted him about Chelsea being missing. When Chance spotted someone on the roof with a gun, he jumped in front of Adam to protect him. Abby, who was just celebrating the fact that she and Chance got engaged, rushed to the hospital to be by his side as he faced surgery and a critical condition. After finding out that Adam wasn’t the one who shot Chance and that he was actually the intended target, Rey began to question Chelsea, who showed back up at the Chancellor mansion. Rey offered her protective custody from Adam but after Adam begged for forgiveness, saying he wanted to be with her, she chose not to go under protection. Xander gave Charlie some advice on how to start a relationship with Claire, which ended up with him walking in on her kissing Theo and leaving before she saw him. Theo revealed that he had a girlfriend back in South Africa and helped Claire see that she shouldn’t be afraid to start something new with Charlie. Though, when she went to visit him at work he blew her off. After talking with Jan about her boy problems, Jan took it upon herself to get the conversation started back between the two of them. Philip’s plan is slowly being uncovered as Xander found some mysterious money transfers, which he was able to explain away to Victor. It wasn’t until Sarah overheard him talking to his accomplice on the phone that she believed Xander when he told her that Philip was up to something. While Shawn was happy to have the working relationship between the pair over, Philip wasn’t so excited.
Belle and Shawn got engaged after she proposed on a whim. Lani overheard Abe and Eli talking about a secret and left her purse with her phone inside recording at the table. Once she heard that Brady knew what the secret was she showed up on his door asking him to tell her the truth. Trask told Allie that she would not be able to prosecute Tripp since the alleged crime happened outside of her jurisdiction but that she could send over the report to the London police if she wanted. Tripp showed up at Allie’s door asking her not to turn over the evidence. We finally met Philip’s accomplice, Ava Vitali, who is alive and apparently covering for the fact that Philip was in deep debt with her family. Ava told Philip that his payment is taking too long and that he will have to get rid of Xander. Then she made her way over to Steve and Kayla’s apartment and knocked brazenly on the door.

These two were incredible this week! As Jack and Jennifer dealt with the fallout of his affair, Ashford and McClain played the devastating emotions with perfection. It’s nice to see Matt play a side of Jack that we don't often get to see. As for Cady...can we just say how amazing it is to have her gracing our screens again?! And to come in and tackling such heavy scenes right out of the gate! She is a powerhouse. Bravo you two!
