Legend. Icon. Tony award-nominated actress. This is how one could describe trailblazer Jonelle Allen. Since her career began in the 1960s, Allen has done it all. From Broadway to sitcoms, to soap operas, to movies, and everything in between! But, now, Allen is adding a new credit to her resume. She’s returning to the soap opera world, this time in a podcast format. Allen last visited the daytime soap genre in 1989, when she portrayed Doreen Jackson on NBC’s Generations.
This time around, Allen is tackling the role of Felicia Richardson on the JLJ Media Network podcast soap opera, Forever And A Day. Allen has recorded two episodes of the audio sudser, which is now in its second season. The series revolves around three families in the fictional town of Augustus, Illinois, as they face trials and tribulations, brought on by political and media ambitions. The episode that will air on Friday, February 12th will not only be Allen’s debut, but also the show’s first standalone episode, revolving around the character of Stephanie Markham (Kristina Sullivan). In the episode, Stephanie will face her past, her present, and look towards her future.
