Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) is set to return to Genoa City at the end of April on April 29!

We all remember where we were the day, we learned that The Young and the Restless was bringing Mishael Morgan back to our screens. We subsequently learned that Hilary Curtis was still in soap heaven and that it was Amanda Sinclair, her then believed doppelganger, who was walking the streets of Genoa City. And finally, when our beliefs were confirmed that Amanda and Hilary were twins, and we discovered that neither Amanda nor Hilary were raised their biological parents, we couldn’t wait to find out more.

Toward the end of last year, we began our journey toward more. What we know so far is that Naya Benedict (Ptosha Storey) became pregnant with twins (Hilary, Amanda) and was forced by her religious parents (mainly her father) to give her babies up. Naya gave Hilary to her cousin Rose who raised Hilary (Hilary thought Rose was her biological mom) while Amanda was placed in foster care.\

Naya’s pregnancy had remained a secret that is until Amanda showed up on Naya’s doorstep. Naya wasn’t exactly thrilled to see Amanda especially at first. And Naya’s daughter Imani was none too happy when she learned she had an older sister and as expected Amanda, and Imani didn’t exactly hit it off. Amanda’s family drama was set up, we were ready for more and then her family seemed to disappear as soon as they appeared. But they are back!

Naya is back in Genoa City. She came back to ask Amanda to represent her father, Amanda’s biological grandfather, Sutton Ames (Jack Landron) who has been accused of causing the car accident that killed Amanda’s father, Richard Nealon thirty years ago. Did you get that? Amanda has met grandpa Sutton who also wants Amanda to join his legal team and reap the benefits of her powerful lineage.

Oh, and Richard Nealon worked for Newman Enterprises back in the day which loops Victor Newman into this storyline. It’s getting soapy!

Okay Y&R fans this sounds like it is getting good! Who caused Richard’s car accident? Do you think he really is dead? This is a soap! LOL. How will Victor factor into all of this? How long will Amanda’s family stay in Genoa City? So many questions. So much more to play out.
