The Bold and the Beautiful’s Aaron D. Spears
Fans have been waiting for years - YEARS - for Justin Barber and his portrayer to get a juicy storyline… and the time has finally come! Tasked with getting Bill and Liam out of jail for Vinny’s hit-and-run, Justin decided to take the opportunity to give Bill a taste of his own medicine after he came to the realization that he would never be able to move up the ladder at Spencer Publications. When Thomas revealed that he had evidence to prove that Vinny had set up the accident to screw with Liam, Justin knocked him out, kidnapped him, and deleted the video. In a set of fiery and powerful scenes, Justin expressed his anger about how he spent more than a decade playing second fiddle to Bill. He did whatever he asked of him - legal or not - because he was under the impression that they were friends. He had hoped that his loyalty would one day lead to him being put in a real position of power in the company that he worked so hard to develop and keep secure. But after seeing how quickly Bill dismissed the idea of Justin running the company in his absence in favor of Wyatt, he knew he had been wrong. Aaron, who is such a strong performer, brought layers and believability to his work this week. We cannot wait to see more from him.
The Young and the Restless’ Hunter King & Michael Mealor
There have been thousands upon thousands of soap couples over the years. Very few, though, have that spark of beautiful chemistry that transcends the screen. Hunter King’s Summer and Michael Mealor’s Kyle are two that belong in that special grouping. They bring a wonderful depth of emotion to every scene. They make us root for them. They also make us ache for them. This week, Hunter and Michael delivered a devastating performance as Summer made the choice to leave Kyle behind and go to Italy after Tara threatened to take Harrison away from Kyle. There is nothing like seeing two people who love each other that much say goodbye. We have our tissues ready for this coming week!
