Performer of the Week: General Hospital’s Nicholas Alexander Chavez!
Nicholas has come in swinging with his introduction to the soap world! His connection with his screen partner Sydney Mikayla has quickly made them a fan-favorite pairing. Though it was his character’s intense standoff with his father that has us cheering this week! We can’t blame Nikolas for thinking that Spencer is just a little bit sketchy. However, like Laura, we have issues with how he went about confronting his son over his suspicions that he was Ava’s stalker. After an unnerving set of events, culminating in Spencer thinking he got stabbed, it was revealed that Nikolas had been the one terrorizing him and his friends.
Spencer’s reaction to just how far his own father would go to protect Ava, his own flesh and blood be damned, was chilling. Both Chavez and Marcus Coloma delivered raw, tension-filled, Emmy reel-worthy scenes. “I never turned against you,” Nikolas told him. “You never chose me either,” Spencer replied. UGH! Incredible work!

Carly realized that she could no longer trust Jax after he attempted to record her confessing to crimes. Spinelli wiped Jax’s phone, on Jason’s order, but he found Liesl, who wants revenge for Britt, in his corner. After meeting with the five families, Jason realized that Carly could be in danger, prompting them to set a wedding date. “Mike” had another memory flash on his mysterious blonde. Terry advised Britt to repair the bridges she burnt with the hospital staff. Sam and Dante shared another steamy kiss as they agreed to begin dating. However, their time together may be short-lived as Sam received a call from Drew, who was being held captive. Brook Lynn busted Chase, who was up walking around. Maxie surprised Nina in Nixon Falls. Valentin seemed jealous of Martin, who was flirting with Anna. Brando and Sasha’s excitement over their unborn child continued to grow.
Spencer’s party came to a screeching halt when strange occurrences began like the launches off the island going missing, power outages… oh! And a phone call from Ryan Chamberlain. A masked man attacked Spencer, making him believe he was stabbed, it was then revealed that his attacker was Nikolas. Though, after Ava’s car was set on fire and Kiki’s hospital badge was left at the scene, Nikolas realized that Spencer couldn’t have been the one to set the fire. Fearing he may have lost his son forever, Laura confronted Nikolas on his Cassidine-esque decision making. Spencer’s girlfriend, Esme, introduced herself to his family and friends. She also revealed to Spencer that she was the one to set Ava’s car on fire.
