Performers of the Week:
Days of Our Lives’ Alison Sweeney & Dan Feuerriegel!
Since EJ’s return to Salem, we have been waiting for that EJami spark… and we got it this week! The couple is certainly a divisive one for fans but there is no denying that the characters have an appealing push and pull. Dan has continued to impress us every single week. And when EJ confronted Sami over her infidelity we were left with chills. You could feel his anger and heartbreak radiating through the screen. Alison, who is just an incredible actress, played Sami’s devastation with perfection. We don’t know what’s ahead for this on-screen pairing but we are excited to find out!
General Hospital’s Joyce Guy!
Joyce Guy has been such a wonderful addition to General Hospital! When Phyllis’ worst fear came true as her husband, Lenny, died, she was crushed. The immensely talented Joyce Guy delivered, in our humble opinion, the best scene of the week as Phyllis had one last moment with Lenny. Her anguished cry was emotionally shattering. We just hope GH finds a way to keep her on canvas going forward!
Days of Our Lives
Sami’s newfound happiness within her marriage was short-lived when EJ confronted her over her infidelity. While Lucas’ dreams of reuniting with Sami were diminished when she vowed not to give up on her marriage. However, Sami was not expecting to be taken by a masked person outside of Rafe’s home when she went to talk with Gabi about staying in the DiMera mansion. Ava got more than she bargained for when she found Rafe comforting Nicole over the end of her marriage. Gabi implicated step one in her plan to remove Philip from his role as CEO of Titan but Jake’s attempt to vie for the position over her may lead to some potential problems for the couple.
Jack reached his limit with Gwen’s antics when Steve revealed that she had been involved with Dr. Snyder’s drug dealings. Xander shocked them both when he covered for Gwen, taking the blame for Snyder’s death when they were confronted by Jack. Philip and Chloe worked through his jealousy over her and Brady. Allie and Claire were determined to stay quiet at the police station even though they were charged with aiding and abetting a kidnapping. Theo and Ciara’s loved ones worked hard to find the kidnapped Ciara. Paulina even offered up a lead-getting reward, which didn’t sit well with Lani. A non-starting car, an injured ankle, and some cold Chinese food later and Ciara was able to regain her memories while being trapped in the cabin with Ben. Theo and Shawn were able to track them down, finding them in each other’s arms.
The Bold and the Beautiful
Quinn and Carter continued to lose the fight to stay away from each other. Finn and Steffy’s fairytale wedding reception came to a surprising halt when Finn’s biological mother, Sheila Carter, made an appearance. The Forresters were sure that this was another con until Jack admitted that he knew the truth. He shared that Sheila had contacted him years ago. Finn’s reputation was put on the line when Ridge wondered if this was set up but they quickly realized he was just as stunned as the rest of them. Steffy made her position clear to Finn that Sheila would not be part of their life, especially when it came to Hayes. Not one to give up, Sheila devised a plan to get in contact with Finn.
The Young and the Restless
Kyle and Summer’s families were disappointed when they opted to stay in Milan instead of coming back to Genoa City. Sally’s worst fear came to fruition when Lauren fired her. However, she wouldn’t be down for long as Chloe offered her a job at Newman Media despite Phyllis’ warning to stay away. Naya shared with Amanda how proud she was of her, expressing her desire to be part of her life. Victoria and Ashland shared the news of their engagement to her family, receiving a mostly positive reception. Ashland was grateful to have Victoria by his side as he started his treatments. Mariah’s loved ones continued to worry about her, leading Rey to open an official investigation into her disappearance.
Adam wondered how life with Connor and Chelsea would be like going forward. Devon was confused when he found out that Nate was promoted to Chief of Surgery, a position he thought Stitch had secured. Moses told Nate he has changed his mind about going into the medical field. Jack asked ChanceComm not to run a story on Tara’s arrest because it would throw Kyle and Harrison into the spotlight. Moses and Faith took their relationship to the next level as they shared a kiss. Elena worried about what Nate’s new position could mean for their relationship. Nick seemed a little jealous when Jack spoke about how well Phyllis knows him. Victor upset Victoria when he questioned Ashland’s motives.
Sam and Shawn’s investigation into Hayden’s whereabouts took a deadly turn after they met with her mother, Naomi. After getting some interesting information from her, Noami was found murdered in her hotel room after being injected with drugs. Jordan expressed her concern for Shawn, not wanting him to get into trouble after just getting out of prison. Austin went to Chase for help snooping around the Quartermaine house, believing that there was evidence that Edward had started to change his will before he passed. The same evidence that Ned discovered Tracy had gotten rid of as she anticipated potential ELQ drama in the future. Carly took her final step in letting Sonny go as she prepared to move forward with Jason. Britt continued to put distance between her and Jason when he offered his concern.
Nikolas confronted Spencer about Ryan’s letter, catching him in a lie. Positive that he was Ava’s stalker, he set up a plan to catch him in the act. Stella continued her apology tour with Jordan and Trina as she tried to remember the important documents where that were destroyed. Liesl and Scott planned to take a trip while she works on medical research. The teens gathered at Wyndemere for Spencer’s party. Cam took the opportunity to tell Spencer he didn’t need to try so hard to put a barrier between him and everyone else. Sam and Dante continued their flirty banter as they created the SPA (Single Parents Anonymous) as an excuse to spend time with each other. Trina and Portia struggled with how to mend their broken relationship. Phyllis, Nina and “Mike” were left heartbroken when Lenny passed away. Jax made the decision to take matters into his own hands to protect Joss from the dangers created by Carly and Jason’s business.
