Jacob Aaron Gaines Talks Joining The Young and the Restless and More (EXCLUSIVE!) Check it out here--->>
Soap Opera News had the esteemed pleasure of talking with Jacob Aaron Gaines who now plays Moses Winters on The Young and the Restless. A native of Thousand Oaks, California , Gaines tells us that "It’s been an honor to be a part of such a world renowned soap opera." He also shared, "I’ve had the privilege to befriend so many people in the cast and crew. I am having the best time, learning a great deal from everyone and I don’t think anyone has gotten sick of my corny jokes…..yet. "
We were on a mission to get to know Gaines a bit better and he noted, "I’d say that I’m a very adventurous and caring person. I love to make new friends everywhere I go and prefer to look at the “glass half full” side of life. I can be ultra-competitive but it motivates me to be the best version of myself each day."
Gaines is ecstatic to be playing the onscreen son of the late Kristoff St. John and beloved Y&R character, Neil Winters. "When I received the audition I had no idea that I would be playing the son of the late Neil Winters. When I discovered I was going to be playing Moses, l was very humbled by the opportunity. Excited yet nervous, I knew everything happens for a reason. I hope I portray Moses in a way Kristoff would be pleased."
Viewers are intrigued with Moses and Faith (Reylyn Caster), so as viewers of the CBS daytime drama we couldn't help but ask what's possibly ahead for the duo. Gaines shared, "As Moses and Faith progress I can see them being friends no matter what obstacles are thrown their way. It’s nice to have the fans along for the journey, whether it be friendship or romance."
We were also curious as to what storyline the talented actor would write for his character if he were able to. "Due to the spooky season coming up I would like to see Moses and Faith visit a haunted house," he said and continued, "Maybe they see a body being buried? And we decide to handle the situation on our own, Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew style. The intrigue continues from there."
Gaines also told us what keeps him busy when he is not acting. "Outside of the show I like to read, play video games, listen to music, hike, go cliff jumping, play the piano, and hang out with my friends. I’m a huge believer in binging Netflix series the day of their release. I also spend a lot of my time in the water, at the beach, even though I’m terrified of sharks."
He has upcoming projects on the horizon but could only tease, "Stay tuned…."
So, what do you hope is ahead for Moses on Y&R?
