Jasper Cole Talks His Role on The Family Business and More! Check it out here--->>
Veteran character actor and Hollywood's "go-to Bad Guy," Jasper Cole returned to TV as "Cory Black" in the hit series, "Carl Weber's The Family Business." Darin Henson, Ernie Hudson, Christian Keyes and Valarie Pettiford also star in Season 3 of the suspense drama that began streaming on Thursday, 10/14 on BET+. By day, the Duncans are an upstanding family who run a thriving exotic car dealership in New York. By night, they live a dangerous secret life. When they come under siege the Duncans will have to stick together or die separately. The Duncans have vowed to "Always Keep It In The Family" -- although all that may change now that "Cory Black" (Cole) emerges as a player in their heating up drug game.
SON: Bring our readers up to speed about the Duncan's and what they can look forward to in Season 3.
COLE: L.C. Duncan and family are back better than ever this season. A new drug on the scene called FIRE threatens to overtake the Duncan's sales for their drug of choice, HEAT. So they are on a hunt to find out who's behind this new drug FIRE.
SON: How does your character, "Cory Black," fit into the Duncan family equation.
COLE: Cory Black is head of a Pittsburgh Biker Gang and becomes quickly immersed into the Duncan underworld of crime and corruption -- his true motives are slowly revealed.
SON: The Duncan family sticks together -- how was it for you as an actor joining the cast of "Carl Weber's The Family Business" in its third season?
COLE: It was great joining this cast of so many veterans of tv/film, starting with the iconic Ernie Hudson. The whole team is fantastic. Creator/writer Carl Weber is hands-on, and it's a blessing as an actor to have the writer so accessible. Showrunner ND Brown and Director Trey Haley run an impressive set, especially during Covid. We all felt safe, and it was a pleasure all the way around.
SON: You also star in a new digital series with Daytime favorites, Jennifer Bassey and Tamara Braun -- tell us about "Kombucha Cure."
COLE: KOMBUCHA CURE is a quirky new dramedy in the vein of NORTHERN EXPOSURE about a small town in Nevada that takes on big pharma and corrupt insurance companies. They have figured out how to use holistic alternative treatments and drinks like KOMBUCHA to keep them healthy. I'm a Co-Executive Producer, and I play THEO, a military veteran with a pet pig, and he's a yoga enthusiast. It's a comedic role and a departure for me which was a blessing and one of my favorite characters ever. I'm proud of this project starring the Amazing Tamara Braun, Denise Boutte, and Jennifer Bassey.
SON: What is the storyline in Daytime right now that keeps you tuned in?
COLE: I love the storylines on GH!
SON: There's always trouble happening in Daytime -- as Hollywood's leading "Bad Guy," which show would you love to have a storyline arc on?
COLE: Speaking of GH, I would fit in nicely with the criminal elements favored by Sonny and his cohorts. My buddy Jeff Korber is so good on there, and I'd love to work with him as well.
