Performer of the Week: Days of Our Lives’ Mary Beth Evans!


TRIAGE! Can we please give Mary Beth Evans more comedy?! In order to help Steve get information on Kristen, Kayla pretended to be drunk and spilled wine on EJ to separate him from Nicole. The scene was ridiculously fun and chaotic. The Emmy-winner may be known for incredible work in dramatic sequences but she has such a natural connection to comedic material. 


General Hospital


After the dramatic shootout, Valentin was left with a life-threatening injury. Drew, who everyone believed was dead after falling into the water, was actually alive and well… and still working with Peter under mind control. A mystery man was watching Curtis and Portia, and even made a visit to TJ at the hospital. Jason and Britt arrived in Greece to find evidence that Liesel was drugged before being taken from her cell. Liz and Finn began to come to terms with their growing connection. Their conversation was put on hold as Terry revealed that Liz’s father called inquiring about her. Olivia, who was still in denial about Leo’s Autism diagnosis, asked Ned for a divorce. 


Michael and Willow found themselves at odds when he funded a Pennsylvania DA candidate’s campaign in exchange for him going after Nina. Despite Sonny’s warning and Ava’s proposed deal, Spencer pled not guilty. Nikolas was also surprised when Kevin and Laura posted Spencer’s bail. Nina and Sonny both put in offers to buy Charlie’s from Ava in the hopes of giving the business to Phyllis. Tired of the drama, Austin offered to sign away any claim he had to the Quartermaine fortune. Victor vied for an immunity deal from the WSB in exchange for helping Robert catch Peter.


The Young and the Restless


Victor put a public hit on ChanceCom, which made Billy and Lily wonder if this was a ploy to distract them from the now MIA Jesse Gaines. After receiving some much-needed support from Noah, Tessa came home to Mariah, who apologized for putting them in an awkward place. Phyllis was still having a hard time dealing with the difficulties in her relationship with Nick and found a friend in Jack once again. Sally spotted the two in a soft moment and took pictures. 


Nick expressed his hurt feelings about being shut out by the family when it came to Ashland. Despite their growing attraction, Adam refused to give in to Sally’s advances, knowing that she wanted more than sex from him. Lauren felt betrayed by Sally and Chloe when the news about Victoria’s dress made headlines. Noah, who was starting to feel a little lost with his life in London, decided to come to stay in Genoa City for a while. Abby received devastating news from Christine when she revealed that the building Chance was staying in was bombed and there were reports of no survivors. 


The Bold and the Beautiful


Carter was devastated when Quinn ended things with him. Despite her love for him and his pleas, Katie came to the realization that she was not going to go back to Bill. Zende and Paris took their relationship to the next level as the two made love. Hope and Finn were shocked when they spotted Sheila and Deacon together. Sheila took the opportunity to pretend that she and Deacon were in a relationship as part of her plan. Donna inadvertently admitted to Eric that she was still in love with him. Katie and Carter found a surprising connection with each other after they talked about their misadventures in love and loss. 


Days of Our Lives


Victor made a deal with Trask to release Justin and Xander if he was able to turn over Kristen. He then tasked Steve with tracking down Kristen, who was adamant that he wanted to have Bonnie and Gwen released as well. After Kayla enlisted herself as a “drunken” distraction, Steve revealed to Nicole that he wanted access to EJ’s phone because he had been in contact with his sister. Philip and Chloe both had a hard time reconciling with the current state of their relationship. Abby was determined to find out what Gwen’s real secret was to protect her father. Ciara was surprised to find out that Gabi had been fired when she asked for a job at GabiChic.


Jake realized he made a mistake in luring Carmine to Salem when their battle over his gun ended in Abe being shot. Abe was rushed to the hospital as his loved ones gathered by his side. Julie was upset when Marlena put a no visitation order on Doug. Marlena’s coldness towards Julie and her eagerness to do Johnny’s movie led John to question her behavior. After sneaking the recording of her session with Doug, he was convinced that she was possessed again. His suspicions were confirmed when he cornered her in St. Lukes and the devil revealed themselves.
