Performers of the Week: General Hospital’s Maura West & Nicholas Chavez!


There aren’t too many actors who can match the pure talent of the Emmy-winning Maura West. However, this week Nicholas Chavez took on that challenge as Spencer and Ava battled over his misdeeds. Chavez, who has shown wonderful range as a performer in his short time on the ABC soap already, was able to shine opposite the powerhouse West. While the actors haven’t had years together, the characters have a long, tumultuous history that Nicholas and Maura were able to portray beautifully. We cannot wait to see more of these two on-screen!

The Young and the Restless


Many forces came together to attempt to stop Victoria and Ashland’s wedding in Italy: Billy showed up with Jesse in tow with the information about how Ashland acquired his fortune, Nick continued to express his uneasiness with the nuptials, and Sally pulled a switcheroo with the wedding dress. However, none of that was able to stop the couple from saying “I do.” Throughout the week, Phyllis was baffled by Nick’s behavior towards her support of him. Tessa, who was being kept at a distance by Mariah, had the opportunity to catch up with Noah. Adam was impressed that Sally was able to get Victoria to wear her gown as were the rest of the wedding guests as she walked down the aisle. Jesse Gaines was determined to take down Ashland and sent Billy evidence of his crimes, threatening to make it public if he didn’t publish it first. 


The Bold and the Beautiful


Despite his hesitation, Deacon found an ally in Sheila, who wanted to team to take down the Forresters in the hopes of getting closer to their children. Finn and Hope had trouble accepting their families ideas to keep them away from their parents. Hoping to move into his new apartment, Thomas let Paris sublet his old apartment. However, when the seller backed out of the deal they decided to live together for the time being. Quinn began to worry that her relationship with Carter was ruining her marriage, especially after seeing Katie hanging out with Eric. Bill shared with Katie that he wanted to fix things between them.


General Hospital


Once Ava saw that Spencer had no remorse for his crimes, she had him arrested. The move left Nicholas conflicted on whether or not this was the best thing for his relationship with his son. Ava did attempt to offer Spencer his freedom in exchange for a truce but he was unwilling to do so. While Nina found a friend in Sasha, she was put on notice by Sonny. Though, he did reveal that there was a chance at forgiveness after Phyllis’ visit. Jason was able to stop Carly from getting revenge on Nina… for the time being. Later, Sonny was hurt to discover that the marriage and impending wedding night for Jason and Carly wasn’t just for show. Alexis and Sean tried to piece together the Cassadine connection to Hayden’s shooting and disappearance. 


Brando made it clear to Gladys that he won’t be working for Sonny. Brook Lynn went to Britt with news that Austin broke HIPPA laws by telling her about Leo. When Olivia overheard the pair discussing Leo’s potential Autism diagnosis she confronted Brook Lynn for using her son as a pawn in her quest to shut Austin out of ELQ. At Scott’s suggestion, Britt reached out to Jason for help in finding Liesel. Ava confronted Nina about “Mike” and encouraged her not to give up on what they shared in Nixon Falls. After waking back up in his cell with Liesel, Drew discovered that he had been brainwashed when he tried to attack Anna and Robert. 


Days of Our Lives


The excitement Chad and Abby had for Johnny’s script was short-lived when EJ got his revenge by offering to fund the movie with the condition that he play opposite Abby. At the devil’s demand, Marlena convinced Ben to have a baby with Ciara. Paulina was left a little frazzled when she told Lani that she could call her mom. Abby and Chad took the next step in their reunion as they made love. After Philip attacked Brady once again without provocation, Chloe ended things with him. Jake grew concerned when he realized Philip was working with Ava. At the same time, Gabi and Ava continued their petty battle for dominance. Nicole admitted her feelings for Rafe when he called her out on spending time with EJ but still found herself turning to EJ as they shared a kiss. John became concerned when Marlena agreed to do the movie after she “dreamed” of levitating and hearing the devil.
