General Hospital's Cameron Mathison Reflects On His Rare Disease! Learn more here--->>
Supporting A Worthy Cause!
This week on Monday, February 28, we observed Rare Disease Day. This day of observance is to raise awareness for rare diseases and to improve access to treatment and medical representation for individuals with rare diseases and their families.
This week Cameron Mathison (Drew, General Hospital, ex-Ryan Lavery, All My Children) took to Instagram and shared information about the rare degenerative bone disease he had as a child, Legg Calve Perthes Disease.
In his post, Mathison said because of his condition he wore a leg brace night and day for four years. He also went on to say treatment for this condition has come a long way but there is still much to learn and that Perthes Organization and Perthes Kids Foundation are two wonderful organizations to support and where you can learn more about this rare disease.
