Wes Ramsey Talks About How He Could Return to General Hospital! Learn More Here >>>
Wes Ramsey, who played Peter August on General Hospital, attended the General Hospital Creation fan event last weekend in Burbank, California and was asked about a possible return to GH!
At the event Ramsey sat on a panel with Cameron Mathison who plays Drew Cain and Bradford Anderson who plays Damien Spinelli. Fans were allowed to ask questions and the guys and the fans seemed to have fun with the entire panel.
Ramsey was asked about the fan reaction to Peter and his many crimes, "I supposed it's exciting. If there was no reaction and everyone was bored then maybe I wouldn't be doing my job."
He was asked which of Peter's crimes was the worst and he replied, "There were a lot. It was over four years of conflict with Peter in Port Charles. I think that in his mind, he was never doing something that was so bad." He added that Peter's childhood affected who he became, "Morality wasn't a normal code. He was skewed from childhood. What he considered to be good or bad was based on his father and childhood. That allowed me to continue full force with his convictions regardless of the feelings of not being reciprocated by other people." Peter's father was Cesar Faison, portrayed by Anders Hove.
He went on to add, "Peter never had a family. He just wanted to be loved. Unfortunately, he was broken to begin with, but he believed it was still possible for him. I encouraged that aspect of his journey."
When asked if Peter ever enjoyed any of the bad things he did, Ramsey answered, "I think he enjoyed framing Obrecht. She tortured him in the cabin. He never forgot that." Obrecht is played by Kathleen Gati.
Wes was also asked what's next for him now that Peter is dead and he has left General Hospital, "That’s a very good question. I appreciate all the fan support I’ve received over the last few years. GH has been one of my favorite journeys. I promise to keep you all posted on whatever the next chapter may bring. I’m looking forward to it. I can tell you that.”
The biggest question on everyone's mind was if he would ever return as Peter's twin, a daytime staple and even in Peter's bloodline since his mother, Alex, is the twin sister of Anna Devane, both portrayed by Finola Hughes. Ramsey teasingly answered the question, "Isn't that the beauty of daytime? You never really know. The writers and producers of daytime are capable of doing anything. I have no idea about any of that. Certainly, they know where to find me.”
