Congrats to Kimberlin Brown, Krista Allen, and Naomi Matsuda who were selected as the performers of the week! Click here to learn more--->>
On this past week’s episodes of The Bold & The Beautiful, fans were devastated that Dr. John “Finn” Finnegan was killed off due to Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) while Steffy Forrester was fighting for her life. Brown continued to give stellar performances as she conveyed Sheila’s complicated feelings: devastation, grief, shock, guilt, fear, etc. Fans could sense just how unhinged and devastated Sheila was in the hotel room scenes where Sheila was brushing her hair while talking to herself in the mirror in tears. Brown mastered the double layers of grief in her scenes with Sean Kanan (Deacon Sharpe) when Deacon informs Sheila of the shooting and Finn’s death. Sheila is obviously grief-stricken, but has to pretend to be shocked. She is genuinely shocked when Deacon informs her that Steffy is still alive which is followed by fear of the truth coming out. Sheila arrives at the hospital and has an embrace with Taylor where she apologizes to her. This scene was beautifully done for the many reasons behind the embrace: Taylor offering comfort, Sheila reciprocating, but yet also unintentionally admitting her guilt without getting caught. Brown’s body briefly relaxes in this scene which shows that just for a moment, Sheila let her guard down and tried to show true emotions. Brown excels in showcasing all of these different, complicated, layered emotions in a very heavy storyline which can’t be easy, but she makes it look effortless.
Krista Allen (Dr. Taylor Hayes) continues to shine in her scenes. Fans could sense the fear Taylor has of losing Steffy just like she lost Phoebe through Allen’s performances. Allen’s attention to small details is what makes her performances so powerful (ex: the way she clutched her bag as she ran out of the office when the Forrester’s got word of the shooting). Allen’s emotional monologue as she urges Steffy to hang on, to continue being the fighter that she is, and to be there for her family was moving. Also, Allen has to be the most beautiful crier on a soap opera. She looked stunning even as tears were streaming down her face.
Naomi Matsuda (Li Finnegan) gave a moving performance as Li showed up at the hospital to grieve her son and to also inquire about Steffy. Her showdown with Sheila was intense, you could cut the tension with a knife. Matsuda’s jaw was clenched so tight, fans could sense how much Li despises Sheila and how badly she wants to protect Finn from her, even in death. Li might have appeared cold and harsh toward Sheila, but can you blame her? Taylor tried to keep the peace, but Li was not having it. Matsuda beautifully showed how protective Li was of Finn.
Bravo to all three ladies on outstanding performances in such a heavy storyline! Fans can’t wait to see what happens next!
The Bold & The Beautiful

Taylor tries to intervene on Sheila’s behalf, but Li is adamant. The police chief arrives to inform Steffy’s family, as well as Li and Sheila, about the open investigation regarding the shooting. He mentions it looked like a robbery, but it’s weird that Steffy and Finn were in the alley in the first place and so he asks if they have any enemies. They can’t come up with anyone. Later on, Thomas questions Sheila in private if she had anything to do with the shooting as his suspicions are raised due to what she’s capable of since she’s responsible for causing Brooke to drink.
