It’s hard to believe that it has been twenty-one years ago today that the immensely talented Tamara Braun took the world of daytime dramas by storm!
On May 2, 2001, Braun stepped into the role of Carly Corinthos on General Hospital. She quickly became a fan favorite and earned a Daytime Emmy nomination for her work in 2004. Braun would win the Emmy for Supporting Actress in 2020 after returning to the ABC soap as Dr. Kim Nero. She made waves as villainess Ava Vitali on Days of Our Lives in 2008, winning the first of her two Daytime Emmys in 2009. She would play a second role on the show when she returned in 2011 as Taylor Walker. Starring as Reese Williams on All My Children, Tamara would go down in soap history as being part of the first same-sex wedding on an American soap opera.
