Maurice Benard and Freddie Stevenson Team Up for Impactful Project! Learn more here--->>
Freddie Stevenson, former American football fullback and bestselling author, is set to soon release his film “Trials to Triumph.” The film is based on the book of the same name also penned by Stevenson. In the book, Stevenson chronicles his personal story of transformation from poverty and homelessness to a highly successful career in football, motivational speaking, as a bestselling author, and beyond. His barefaced transparency and candor highlighting his triumph over his personal battles, hardships and demons serve as a beacon of light and a source of inspiration and strength for others to triumph as well.
What’s in a name? Stevenson shared with us how the project’s name helps to translate the film’s message. “I chose “Trials To Triumph” because of my life’s journey. I started off homeless and faced a lot of obstacles growing up but that didn’t stop me from accomplishing all of my dreams and more. We don’t always understand why we are facing struggles in life but if we stay the course, and keep believing, then in due time it will make sense for our purpose. We will take a deep dive into my story and some of the most inspirational stories of others.”
A few of the other individuals also sharing their inspirational stories include motivational speaker, Tony Gaskins, Delvin Breaux, the first player to play in the NFL without playing in college who broke his neck in three places in high school and was told he should have died and that he would never play in the NFL (he did), and actor Maurice Benard (General Hospital) who discusses his battle with mental health. “Maurice will share his story and talk about his rise to stardom and his battles with mental health. Although he has been one of Hollywood’s brightest stars for over 20 years, that didn’t prevent him from struggling with mental illness. His story will help save the lives of so many who are struggling. So many people in the world struggle with mental illness, but seeing someone like Maurice will bring awareness to these struggles and will let them know they are not alone.”
Gaskins, Breaux and Benard among others will tell their powerful stories. Every story, every struggle, every triumph featured is done in the hope of making a positive impact on lives all over the world. Stevenson informed us that “Trials To Triumph” is in the final stages of production and is expected to be released in late August. The film will be featured on the first ever NFT streaming platform and pre sales are expected to begin soon.
